During this time she has given private tuition to people of every age and has also taught English within the Israeli school system. I have three years’ experience in both the formal environment of teaching English within the Israeli school system and also providing one-to-one private lessons to students of all ages. Having such a strong connection to the school system in both a professional capaci
ty as a teacher and as a mother of two children aged 11 and 9 I know and fully understand the syllabus for teaching English in Israel. I endeavor to work in parallel with the school system when teaching one-to-one private lessons. This provides my private students with a tremendous advantage. No one is too young or too old to learn English. My own children were both born in Israel and I have seen that starting conversational English with children as young as two years of age offers great benefits as they develop their speech skills. For younger children it is often better to work in small groups with three or four students. This sustains the interest of the child and is also not as intense for smaller children. For older children, already learning English within the Israeli educational system, one-to-one classes have always been more effective. Born and raised in London, England, I have mother tongue English. After 16 years of living in Israel, my spoken Hebrew comes a very close second to my English. This allows me the opportunity to explain the in-depth intricacies of the English language to Hebrew speaking students. I strive to make my private lessons both fun and educational for children of all ages. I have found this method of teaching to be the most effective way of teaching children. I have also given private lessons to adults who need English language for their profession. I additionally assist business executives at all levels improve their business English based on their needs of their careers. Located in Kfar Saba, Israel from August 2013, after 11 years of living in Nahariya, I am now looking to expand my student base.
