This Sunday! 👀
Holt’s Christmas Market will be held in the town centre from 10am to 3pm on Sunday the 4th of December. The Market Place, Star Plain and Bakers Yard offer a safe, traffic free experience and a chance to browse at leisure.

This popular market, held from throughout the year on the first Sunday of the month, celebrates Norfolk's independent finest, with over 50 regional makers, bakers and brewers, delicious street food traders, communal dining and music.

Holt Sunday Christmas Markets offer a chance to meet the makers, buy original, handmade gifts and support local talent. The market is curated by Aviva Leigh, who has been running artisan markets since 2016 in Norwich and North Norfolk.

“This Christmas we will be looking for special gifts that are made with meaning and have a story. Meeting the makers at the market and hearing about their process adds value to the product. In these difficult times it’s really important that we support local and independent businesses. The market offers an all round experience with food, drink, music, a great place to meet up with friends and make a day of it. "

Pre-booked parking is available via the Love Holt Website, making it easier to visit the market and helps to keep the town traffic free.

They will be bringing you the best of the local craft scene with their curated makers market featuring lots of items perfect for Christmas gifts. Expect to find handmade ceramics, prints, jewellery, homewares and textiles all produced by talented artisans.

They hand pick each maker carefully to ensure a mix of the very best local, modern craft.

Visit between 10am and 4pm outside the Forum in the ampitheatre on Millenium Plain. Free entry!

Fritton Lake Event Postponed!

Due to the bad weather and other logistical issues, we have made a joint decision with Fritton Lake to postpone the pool party until next year. We are looking at a Saturday in spring/summer 2023 and will keep you posted. Everyone that purchased a ticket will be refunded; we apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you by the pool next year!

However... for those that have purchased a ticket, instead of a refund, you're welcome to access Fritton Lake for the day and enjoy the facilities and lunch (if you purchased a lunch ticket). There will not be any DJs or a party as such, but still a lovely day out.

The bus will no longer be running, so anyone that opted in for the bus ticket will be refunded or partly refunded, depending on what you'd like to do. Please let us know if you'd like to attend or not before Friday at

Last night was a special one! Thank you so much to everyone that came to show their support and celebrate the launch of Compendia - Norwich and Norfolk.

It’s been a long time coming, almost two years or 14 years, if you factor in the journey that brought us here under our former brand name SHHHH. But at long last, Compendia - Norwich & Norfolk is finally in our hands and will soon be peppered across countertops and coffee tables across the county.

Seeing the community come together like this and so many of you inspiring creatives, business owners, visionaries and game changers in one book puts into perspective how exceptional Norwich and Norfolk is. Collectively, we have so much to offer here, and Compendia is on a mission to shout about it far and wide.

This is by no means an easy project, and there are many moving parts that simply would not move without my talented and hardworking team, the support of our partners, the community of local businesses and, of course, you guys, our readers! So thank you all for your continued love, good vibes and support!
