Fabulous foodie days in Scotland…this one was spent at The Bonham in the West End of Edinburgh. In our capital city and beyond we are absolutely spoilt for wonderful local produce and superb dining experiences.

We are always very happy to share a few of our own local recommendations for guests whilst they are out on tour - from fine dining, traditional pubs, great coffee and brunch spots, bistro style, informal seafood shacks and the hidden gems in between - something for all tastes, budgets and style |

How about this for a grand tour of Scotland….from the fantastic Islay Whisky Festival and Jura, the beautiful west coast through Argyll and into the Highlands (including Glencoe of course) then over to the Isle of Skye and our Highland capital of Inverness. All this followed by a wee visit to the British Pipe Band Championships in Forres before time exploring Speyside and Aberdeenshire and returning to Edinburgh for a few days before home….

From whisky experiences, heritage visits, walking trails, fishing outings, castle stays, Scottish music and culture, and lots of fantastic food and drink - what an adventure over the last few weeks!

Huge thanks to our guests for being such good sports along the way, and of course the fantastic team and driver, Bill, who brought it all to life and kept the show on the road.

Amazingly still plenty to see so we hope you’ll return sometime to enjoy more of our wee country!

If you fancy having your very own Scottish adventure then please do get in touch and we can start crafting your very own special tour. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Unexpectedly found ourselves in Edinburgh tonight at the first night of the UK leg of Eras Tour 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 - a spectacular evening of music, colour, dancing and fun. She has so much energy but someone get her along to Marks and Spencers tomorrow to get a warmer pair of tights…it was chilly out there!

We were so pleased to welcome this special family from Germany back to Scotland in April. From history in Edinburgh, windy beaches and fish and chips in Fife, whisky and wanders in the Highlands and beautiful seafood on the West Coast it was a brilliant adventure for three generations of the family.

We are working on some more great adventures for guests joining us later in 2024 and into 2025. If you like the idea of exploring Scotland but not quite sure where to start or how to narrow down the options then let us help you!

Really excited to be part of the team hosting this wonderful group of ladies here in Scotland this week. From our beautiful capital of Edinburgh and the Forth Valley up into Highland Perthshire and beyond these ladies have lots to explore. With a love of history, culture, great local food and drink and most notably Outlander it’s going to be a lot of fun. It was great to meet everyone at the beginning of the tour on the weekend here in Edinburgh.

After a few very wet days - more than you might expect from April Showers for sure - I’m thinking back to just a few days ago on Easter Sunday when we enjoyed a gloriously sunny and warm walk in the Lomond Hills (even took off my jacket - summer is coming)!

Walking up Bishop Hill near Scotlandwell we completed a great circular route through old woodland and out onto the open hillside with beautiful views across Loch Leven. We found a great spot for rolling our painted eggs before returning down the hill and home for more egg hunts and a delicious Sunday roast with family.

On wet and dreary day here in our part Scotland we’re thinking back to brighter days last summer and a lovely wee family escape on the west coast and Glencoe. Exploring with the wee ones is great fun and keeps the pace slower than you might otherwise travel - plenty of time for strolls, paddles, cycles, play parks, and snack stops |

Did you know Scotland has a giant 3D map made of concrete? 🤯

The Great Polish Map of Scotland is located in the grounds of Barony Castle Hotel.

It was built in the 1970s by Polish war veterans as a token of gratitude for the Scottish hospitality they received during WWII.
