Puffin time - book ahead for Skomer trips!

Catching up on editing backlog from the past month, the bluebells on Skomer are definitely past their best but a few weeks ago, they were absolutely lovely - here's a puffin portrait framed by some of the bluebell flowers

The heralds of spring are slowly arriving 🎉

Crocus are beginning to appear in the Cloister Garden and in the Alpinum Garden.

The crocus gets its name from the Latin word 'Crocatus' meaning bright, saffron yellow! Saffron, as you probably know, is a spice that is derived from one specific type of crocus – the Saffron Crocus. Not all crocus species produce saffron, but they are all similar in appearance and share the same scientific and common name.

There’s something special about these beguiling springtime flowers. Their cheerful presence reassures us that we're on the cusp of a bright new season.

Zip line coming to Carew Castle!
Following the huge success of Zip World in Snowdonia, planning has recently been approved for Pembrokeshire’s first major zip line attraction! The line will run from the battlements of Carew Castle’s North West Tower, across the Millpond, down to the Tidal Mill. Adventurous visitors will be able to mix heritage and history with an adrenaline hit as they descend on a thrilling ride at over 100mph. The experience will end with a splash as participants land in the millpond or when the tide is out a soft plop into the estuary mud.
