As someone not keen on heights, I can tell you this is coming round way too fast! HOWEVER, it's for a really good cause. Only three weeks to go...
Myself and a few other colleagues will be participating in the Walk 360 to raise money for our preferred charity, Ruebens Retreat. This will take place on Sunday 23rd June.
So what is the Walk 360?
Walk 360 at the British Airways i360 in Brighton is a thrilling experience that allows participants to walk on the outside of the glass viewing pod, 138 meters above the ground. This activity provides a unique perspective of Brighton and the surrounding coastline, offering breathtaking views that are not visible from within the pod.
Participants are securely harnessed and guided by trained instructors throughout the experience, ensuring safety while they enjoy the exhilarating sensation of walking high above the city. The activity typically lasts around 45 minutes, including safety briefings and preparation time. Walk 360 is suitable for individuals looking for an adventurous experience and is available to adults and children meeting the height and weight requirements.
Who are Reubens Retreat?
Reuben's Retreat is a UK-based charity founded in August 2012 by Nicola Graham following the sudden death of her 23-month-old son, Reuben, from a rare brain tumour. The charity is dedicated to supporting families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses and those who have been bereaved of a child. Reubens Retreat offers various services, including respite breaks, counselling, and holistic support to families facing these challenges. The charity aims to provide a sanctuary for families to create precious memories and receive the emotional and practical help they need.
Ideally as a company we would like to raise 23k, Reuben was only 23 months when he gained his angel wings. If any of you could possibly spare a few ££’s we’d be most grateful. You can donate here https://www.justgiving.com/team/TC23
Feel free to come down and witness... hoping it's not too windy!!
