Exactly 100 years ago today, this very Bentley 3 Litre crossed the line to win the 24 Heures du Mans!

The car will be paraded around the circuit this afternoon by our friends at Vintage Bentley Heritage Ltd and be cheered on by our wonderful Bentley Drivers Club Ltd participants at the track with us this weekend.

What a special moment in automotive history, and what an honour to run a tour to celebrate this incredible milestone.

This weekend Bentley will celebrate the centenary of winning its first race at La Sarthe! 🏁 🏆 💯

Today we drove from St. Malo to our ‘base camp’ Chateau. Tomorrow, more touring the area and then the weekend will be spent at the circuit, with some fabulous hospitality and enjoying the World’s Greatest Race!

If you have never been to Etosha National Park, you have to put it on your bucket list!! It is without doubt the closest thing to what the first settlers in Africa must have found. It is totally unspoilt and teeming with wildlife… We visit this remarkable place on our Classic GT Namibia Adventure along with all the other major highlights in this incredible country as a self drive guided tour in 4x4 vehicles. We will run the tour annually from November 2025, with the first event already fully booked.

And that’s a wrap! After over 2000 miles and two weeks on the road our Monaco epic for 2024 is over. 11 of the 15 days it rained! And three of the days it didn’t we were parked up in Monaco! Despite this, the cars ran almost faultlessly despite most being almost 100 years old. And the smiles of the participants and the fun they had never faltered.

Creating tours for cars and people like this is nothing short of a privilege!

Now, onto the next one…..

At CGT, we make great tours, but we can’t control the weather. So it was rain gear on or roofs up yesterday on our way from Avignon to Figneac as we continue our tour back to the UK. After some mechanical work at the hotel, it was time for a trip to the bar and a look around our very historic hotel. Activity packed day ahead today.

Meet Zoe Whitakker, Classic GT’s new Tour Director!

Zoe comes from a diverse background in the automotive industry, in particular motorsport and classic cars. Zoe has been a racing driver for 25 years in both single seater and sports cars. The early part of her working career was with the BAR Honda Formula One Team.
Transitioning from that into organizing drives and tours and expanding into new territories such as the former Soviet Republic of Georgia, Zoe planned and executed the first-ever car rally in that country.
Zoe is also one of the organizers and fundraisers for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive.
Overall, her journey showcases a deep love for automobiles, a spirit of adventure, and a dedication to creating memorable experiences for fellow enthusiasts, making her a perfect fit for Classic GT.
