Covering an area of 148 square miles, with a shore line that runs for almost 100 miles, the location is characterised by its serenity in an environment of relatively unspoilt natural countryside. Famous for its eels and pollan, fishing is still a major base industry on Lough Neagh and many a vessel can be seen at work whilst cruising on the Maid. Lough Neagh is steeped in folklore and a history that is brought to life by the commentary given by the Captain on board.

Tomorrow's a day off for many of us, so we'll be back out at Lough Shore Park, Antrim running public cruises with discounts for families as always. Could make a great day for out of town visitors or just to get out with the kids. We had a good bit of sun today and the outlook for tomorrow looks fair enough, but you can always call us before coming out to make sure. Hope you can join us!

We're ready to set sail again! This Sunday, weather permitting, we'll resume our weekly public cruises from the Lough Shore Park at Antrim. Every hour on the hour starting at noon with discounts for families. Sunday should be a warm enough day, and even if there's a bit of rain, don't forget our main cabin is completely enclosed, and there's always tea and coffee on the go, so the weather doesn't have to be perfect. And Lough Neagh is gorgeous regardless. If in doubt about the day, give us a ring ahead of time just to be sure. We hope to see you there! Lough Shore Park, Antrim

Lough Neagh is situated in the centre of Northern Ireland. It is the largest freshwater lake in the British Isles and is very shallow for its size.
