My mini story
Once upon a time, Rosa Lea was a curious young lady who loved art and to explore the world of nature around her. One day, she stumbled upon a beautiful canal boat and was mesmerized by the intricate and colourful paintings on its sides. A kind elderly boater took the time to explain the meaning of the art. She learned that they were called Roses and Castles and were a traditional form of decorative art in the UK canal boat culture. She was hooked 🪝
Rosa Lea was determined to learn more about this art form and sought out a master painter who could teach her. Through hard work and dedication, she was a good student and honed her skills and became a talented painter herself, creating stunning Roses and Castles that captivated onlookers.
Today, Rosa Lea continues to learn and paint to share her love of Roses and Castles, keeping this unique and beautiful art form alive for future generations to appreciate. She hopes to inspire others to explore and preserve their own cultural heritage through the creation of beautiful works of art.
So, next time you see a canal boat with Roses and Castles, remember the story of Rosa Lea and how the tradition has been passed down through the generations.
