This weekend, it is our first Targa Rally of the year at Debden.

With have nearly 80 entries, and many thanks to all the marshals and organisers who will make this a great days rallying.

This Sunday 30th is Chelmsford Motor Clubs Javalin's Jumbo Targa Rally at Carver Barracks, Debden. It's the first Anglia Motor Sport Club Targa rally of the year, and with a whopping 77 entries it should prove to be a challenging and fun event! Thanks in advance to all the organisers and of course the marshals, of which we have several. Competing for West Suffolk Motorsport Club are Robin Lines, Duncan Christmas, Laura Christmas, Vini Cruz, Steve Groves, Rebecca Groves, Dave Lewis, Allen Copeman, Matthew Mantle, James Fewell, Alex Fewell, Paul Webb, Juliette Steer, Dave Shaggy Saint. Lets wish them all luck! 😎

Straight after our successful awards night, CMC is busy once again tonight. This time with our final 12 car of the winter season.

This time tomorrow night....

This is a reminder that the March Club Night isn't in Danbury but at Little Waltham , Sports & Social Club, Tufnell Hall, The Street , Little Waltham , Chelmsford CM3 3NY . Parking front & rear and if dry on the edge of the Sports Pitch.

This will be a busy night as we are presenting the Annual Trophies for 2024, The Winter Series 12 car series for 23/24 ( yes a bit late ) , and a special trophy to Gary Nicholls from Motorsport UK from their CEO Hugh Chambers. Hugh will give a short brief and take some questions.

There will be some free food from around 20.15 so we can start the awards before 21.00

Marshals Updates - JJ Targa Debden and 12 Car

Marshals numbers are rolling in well for the Javalin Jumbo Targa at Debden on 30th March , but we can squeeze in another 20 or so , so please sign up on the Marshals Link or contact Richard & Sue Bonner if you are not sure what to do. The entry is full at 80 cars which is great.

The last 12 Car of the Spring is on Friday 21st March and I will take marshal volunteers - only one more needed. We could however do with 3 more entries.

East Anglian Classic 2025 - A NEW Format

A new format, or a return to an old format ?

The East Anglian Classic will return to a two day format in 2025, the event will be a day, evening and day format.

Organisers have also opened up new test venues and lanes, as well as using classic ones from previous years.

More details will be released soon, and we hope to open entries during the middle of April.

We have a very strong entry for out Targa Rally on Sunday 30th March at Debden, but we need to keep an eye on all those competitors.

Two weeks today we will be celebrating the successes of 2024 at our annual awards night.

We are very fortunate to have Hugh Chambers, CEO of Motorsport UK attending to present the awards, and present updates on life at MSUK with a short Q&A.

We will also be celebrating CMC member Gary Nicholls who has been presented with a MSUK lifetime achievement award.

As normal there will be a light buffet on offer, as well as a pay bar.

A reminder for tonight....

Since 2020 we have been holding our Annual General Meetings on Zoom to present a review of the year, approve the accounts for the year ended 31st October 2024, elect the senior officials and committee and allow members to raise questions about the management of the club, its events and future strategy. Please join us for 30-40 minutes on 27th February.

A Zoom link has been directly emailed to all members, and is available to members when logged into the CMC website.
