In my twenties, I freqented a community centre in Dalston, London, The centre’s name was Centerprise, which was also a book shop and refreshments provider.
I was there initially because they let me use their duplicating printing machine to produce newsletters for a fan club, I was running at the time. I took many breaks, so got to know the local people, most of whom were very talented.
I already was into photography, from a very early age, once I started a job, my first purchase was a SLR camera (Zenit), later I would get a 8mm film camera, I developed the films myself.
I then made good friends with Mike Pitt, who was into PA gear, he taught me a lot, and was also impressed by my own system. Later I would provide PA and disco gear to local causes.
