Salt Therapy helping with Respiratory/Skin issues, improving lung function, performance and general well being. I am a fully insured and fully qualified ICAT Level 4 Dip Equine Sports Massage and Rehabilitation Practitioner and a proud member of the Association of Complementary Animal Therapies (ACAT). I am also a practitioner of Salt Therapy, using the natural healing properties of Salt to help
with Skin and Respiratory issues along with improving lung function, performance and general well being. Equine Massage Therapy can benefit any horse, whether competing at any level, hunting, racing, in light work, out of work/retired or a horse in need of rehabilitation massage and stretching exercises. Through a combination of massage and stretching techniques, W.I.S.P.A Equine Sports Therapy provides:
Wellness - Treatment provides a general feeling of overall well being in the horse. Massage stimulates endorphins which can calm a horse and also acts as a natural pain killer. It can help improve respiration and digestion, as well as draining lymphatic waste and toxins from the body. It also gives the coat a glossy shine due to the increase in the release of oils and the removal of dead cells. Invigoration – Sports Massage Therapy can invigorate and strengthen the muscles supporting the joints. It can help increase the blood circulation which carry enriched oxygenated blood to travel to the muscles, this helps them to be more effective. Suppleness - Massage therapy and stretching helps to loosen and stretch the muscles. Strong, supple muscles improve posture and helping support the whole skeletal system. This will in turn, improve the horses way of movement and gait. Prevention - The increase of blood supply and the warming and stretching effect on the muscles, help to reduce the possibility of injury. Massage also helps to soothe tired nerves, reduce scar tissue and helps to speed up the healing process in the event of injury. Great for general massage, rehabilitation and pre and post competition. Activation – Sports Massage and Rehabilitation Therapy helps to activate the muscles and the systems of the body. Increasing heart function and helps the muscles work and repair themselves, to maximum efficiency. SALT THERAPY:
• Antibacterial
• Anti inflammatory
• Antifungal
• Drug Free
What is Salt Therapy? Salt Therapy replicates the healing properties of the salt caves, using mineral salts which are ground into microfine particles, using a professional Halogenerator to omit these particles into the surrounding air. It works by using the controlled inhalation and absorbtion of these mineral salts, which are able to pe*****te deep into the respiratory system through the airways, which can reduce inflammation and irritation and is also absorbed through the skin when the salt lands on it. Salt Therapy is a Natural Decongestant and Antibacterial Treatment that also improves Recovery, Performance and Well Being.

To all my amazing clients.Ive been dreading writing this as its so final, but some of you will know that over the recent months I've been reducing down my client base as I've been looking to venture into a different direction and with that in mind I would like to update everyone on where I am currently.
Therefore, it is with great regret that I will be stopping offering equine massage and salt therapy, but I will however leave the page open for anyone who wishes to contact me to purchase a home salt machine for their horse/pony.
I have really, really loved working with all your horses/ponies over the last 5/6 years and I am so appreciative of everything your horses taught me and all the trust and support you have given me in entrusting me to treat them. It's a never ending fantastic learning curve and I can't really believe I'm giving this up!! 🙈
However, my next step is also a little exciting even if its not horse related.
I will miss coming out to visit you all and anyone I havent yet redirected is welcome to contact me if they find themselves stuck.
I hope 2025 is amazing for everyone.
Thanks again. Rebecca Z 🥰🐴💕

🎉So some exciting news!!! 🎉
Home salt machines are now available to buy! 🥳
This means you could treat your horse or your dog at home and whenever you like!!
Excellent for helping manage the symptoms of respiratory and skin issues such as coughs, allergies, asthma, copd, sweetitch etc and also very helpful in keeping wounds clean without having to touch the area.
Salt can also help reduce anxiety, help recovery and keep the surrounding air purified.
In dogs it has been very effective (as well as other ailments and allergies) in helping with sore itchy skin including between the paws, belly and skin folds,as well as reducing itchy gunky ears (which often struggles to be managed with antibiotics).
These home salts are a smaller version of the commercial machine I use to treat your animals and are quite impressive. As you can see the output is quite strong. It runs off a plug socket and is activated with a remote control and three seperate settings.
(Larger machines are also available for a more permanent set up which would be beneficial to a wide range of establishments such as racing yards, competition yards, and veterinary practices etc.)
This machine has just gone to its new home and im looking forward to hearing the results!
If you are interested in finding out more including pricing, feel free to drop me a message.

Full leg taping for the lovely Teddy @ Cobs and Carriages .
This is a circulation taping to help increase oxygenated blood flow, improve lymph flow and increase toxin/waste removal and help relieve pain.
I also added a coronet band taping to encourage blood flow through the foot. 💕🐴

This lovely young lady has been struggling with sweetitch and has just finished her initial Salt Therapy cleanse of three sessions. She was an absolute star and took it all in her stride. 🌟 🐴
The comparison photos below show (top) before the 1st session on Monday and below before the 2nd session on Wednesday! (Sadly no photos of todays 3rd session as my phone is full 🙈).
You can see the inflammation has reduced, the skin looks calmer and healing is beginning to happen.
Brilliant result and gives us a real positive, that Salt Therapy is going to be beneficial in reducing the itch and keeping her feeling more comfortable! 🎉🐴💕

If anyone is looking to book in either massage or salt therapy, I have availability on Tues 9th, Tues 16th and Thurs 18th of July and then a more open diary at the moment from the Tues 23rd July. 😊💕🐴

A good bodywork session with a hock k.taping to finish. This boy struggles with arthritic hocks so taping is a great addition to reduce pain, encourage lymphatic flow and improve blood circulation to the area thus improving movement and wellbeing. This is a circulation taping, therefore there is no restriction.
As a bonus, for every hour the tape is on is another hour of hands on body work! 👌😊🐴

This little cutie was overseeing me setting up for salt therapy today. I think he wanted to join in! 🥰🐴

Gait analysis before some bodywork and taping for this handsome chap this morning. What a beautiful day for it! 🌞💕🐴

The horses ear has a large number of pressure points. Amongst other benefits, Ear massage is great for helping release tension in that area, will help release endorphins and generally encourage an overall feeling of relaxation.
I think Frog agrees! 🐴💕😁

Morning all. As you know I havent increased my Salt prices since I started offering Salt Therapy over 3 years ago. I also havent been charging fuel costs in a bid to keep this as affordable as possible for everyone as I want to be able to help as many horses/ponies as possible.🥰
Unfortunately with the external costs, I have no choice but to increase my charges. It's only a small increase in line with some of my other colleagues offering Salt Therapy across the country, so I hope it shouldn't be too much of an impact for you.
So, from 1st May, sessions will rise from £40 to £45. Anyone already booked in with me before the 1st May however, will pay the current £40.
Please do contact me with any questions and Thanks for your understanding and being amazing clients!💕💕💕
Also for anyone thinking of starting Salt Therapy for their horse or pony, if you book in with me before the 1st May deadline, the price will be held at £40 per session for the initial cleanse.😊🐴
Please feel free to share and here's a video of Kit enjoying her session last week.😁
Some of my lovely clients horses who have just had their Salt top ups. These guys have regular treatments to help manage symptoms of either skin ailments, respiratory issues or in some cases we are treating for both.
If you are thinking about Salt Therapy for your horse/pony, then do drop me a message or check out my website for more info

Couple of lovely horses today for Salt.
The gentleman Bubba, travelled all the way from Southhampton for a clinic and had a bit if a cough, so he had a good session to help reduce irritation and improve symptoms.
Then Whizza had a top up to keep on top of some respiratory symptoms. Looking beautiful there as usual, even if she was probably thinking of something "naughty" to do. 😂💕🐴
Salty Friday = Happy horses. 😁🥰🐴
