The front patio in full bloom. I particularly love roses and couldn’t resist this beautiful yellow repeat flowerer. From late spring to late autumn, the roses are always in bud. It smells wonderful and it's so pleasant to sit next to out on the patio.

I try to be as green and sustainable as possible at Fern Cottage. Take for example this second-hand pine dresser I purchased. I wanted to adapt it as a TV cabinet. After some sanding down, painting and varnishing it blended in beautifully with the green walls in the lounge, and the TV was the perfect size to sit on top!

I looked at many photographers' portfolios before commissioning Matt. Something resonated with me when I saw his work, his eye for detail and artistic flair. Even in the drizzle and mist, it looked pretty.
