I hope you are all having a fabulously spooky weekend! Just a quick reminder that both tours of the Ghost Museum can be found on Amazon Uk in books.
The past difficulties seem to have been with the links I posted, so I am unable to provide the link but a quick google search will open the doors to 18 spine tingling stories where ordinary people like you and I met a ghost.
I have just finished writing the third tour and is currently in the proof reading and editing process. Look out for that closer to Halloween where you will read a true account of when three boys went trick or treating and got more scares than they were expecting! Until then….

Ever heard of La Cotte de St. Brelade? This time capsule cave has over 250,000 years of history and it's right here in Jersey 😮 ✨

Archaeologists uncovered a treasure trove of ancient life here, including the remains of woolly mammoths, rhinoceros and Jersey’s first Neanderthal hunter-gatherers - making this this Paleolithic site one of Europe’s most important Ice Age locations 🦣🏞️

80th Anniversary of D-Day, June 6th 2024

Thursday 6 June marks 80 years since D-Day, the largest seaborne invasion in history, and the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe.

A number of different public events are planned for Thursday 6th June to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day and Jersey’s Normandy Veterans.

12:30 - D-Day memorial service - The Cenotaph

Members of the Public are invited to attend a wreath laying service that will be led by the Dean of Jersey at the Cenotaph at 12:30 on 6th June.

The service will be attended by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, Vice Admiral Jeremy Kyd CBE, the Bailiff, Sir Timothy Le Cocq and Chief Minister Deputy Lyndon Farnham.

It is hoped Mr Ernest Thorne the last known surviving Jersey Normandy Veteran will attend the service.

Those wishing to attend should arrive no later than 12:15 for a prompt start to the service at 12:30.

Any available Standard Bearers and Veterans are requested to attend. Dress - usual smart parade attire with headdress and medals.

20:30 - D-Day commemorative service, Noirmont Point – ‘Light of Peace’.

On the evening of 6th June the Bailiff, Sir Timothy Le Cocq, will lead a service at the Second World War memorial on Noirmont Point that will conclude with lighting a small beacon to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

The service is part of a project that spans across the British Isles during which towns and cities will ignite beacons collectively at 21:15.

As parking at Noirmont will be limited, the Bailiff’s Chambers have agreed to provide transport for Standard Bearers and Veterans that will be taking part in the parade segment. If you would like to make use of this transport, please let us know at the office and be ready to board by 19:45 at the Royal Square. Dress - usual smart parade attire with headdress and medals.

Members of the public are invited to attend the event and to arrive no later than 20:30.
