We require assistants to work with our Customer Service Housekeeping Team where tasks consist of maintaining our cleaning standards on our award winning holiday park. This role involves checking the holiday accommodation after the clean has been completed and before we handover to our holiday customers. There will also be some cleaning required in our public facilities and touring and camping blocks. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

Hours of work are 5 days out of 7 to include Saturday. Shift hours are between 7.30am - 6pm.

Grounds and Maintenance Assistant - Highlands End & Eype Beach Holiday Park and West Cliff Farm
We are looking for part time and full-time team to join our maintenance and Park/Support Services team working across our two holiday parks and farm / farm land. Core duties include groundworks, grass and hedge cutting, projects, fencing, tractor driving and Caravan movements and animal care. This is a permanent job (42 hours) with working hours between 08.00 and 18.00 Monday – Friday including some weekend work depending on the time of year and tasks being carried out. Driving Licence Necessary and previous experience in some areas above essential. Training will be provided.

Highlands End Accommodation and Touring Field Assistant
We are also looking for a part time seasonal grounds person to help maintain our Accommodation and Touring Field at Highlands End – this will include groundworks, hedge cutting, planting and gardens as well as general tidiness of the areas of the park. This is 25 hours a week either over 5 days or options can be discussed at interview. Driving Licence Necessary.

Support Services Team
Working across multiple WDLH parks as part of our Support Services Team duties include technical works, caravan movements, projects, Holiday Home and Facility maintenance and repairs. This is a varied role(s) where a background in engineering, electricity, gas, or groundworks would be preferred but training will be available for the right applicant. Driving Licence Necessary and working hours are 42 a week between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00 over 5 days Monday – Saturday on a rota bases.

WDLH Maintenance Support Services Team Member – Permanent Full Time.

This job is based at Golden Cap Holiday Park although part of our Park Support Services team so you may be asked to work on any WDLH Park.

Ideally, we are looking for skills including plumbing and/or gas, but general maintenance / handyman skills are also important. Day to day the job will be carrying out tasks on accommodation including lodges, glamping, and caravan Holiday Homes for either guests or our Holiday Home Owners as well as maintenance on park buildings, infrastructure, and related services.

The position is 5 days a week working 42-45 hours predominantly Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturdays (March to October) although this can be discussed at interview. Working hours between 08.00 and 18.00.

Groundskeeper – Golden Cap Holiday Park – DT6 6JX

A varied and rewarding role at Golden Cap Holiday Park on the Jurassic Coast at Seatown. The park caters for visitors in our Caravans, Lodges & Glamping accommodation as well as Touring & Camping customers.

Working in a small team we pride ourselves on the look and quality of the park and are also looking to enhance and improve the park with wildflowers, shrubs, hedges, and garden features.

Working Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays, this job gives an opportunity for involvement in the appearance of the park and the encouragement of wildlife and sustainability through the maintenance and creation hedges and landscaping.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and be familiar with the safe operation of ride on mowers and machinery. Experience of towing trailers, tractor driving, and use of chainsaws would be helpful, although training would be given.

The duties for this varied role include, but are not limited to:

- answering queries, making bookings and greeting customers face to face

- liasing with our customers on the phone and online

- giving our customers helpful information about the park and surrounding areas

- welcoming customers into the shop, operating the till systems and helping them find what they are looking for

- helping to look after the shop including placing orders, pricing goods, cleaning and stock replenishment

- if our customers need help ensure we give great customer satisfaction by finding out the answers. We also need to record any comments and concerns where needed

- liasing with our other team members in our Grounds and Maintenance, Housekeeping and Sales Teams

- assisting with paperwork to ensure compliance with legislation (e.g. health & safety checks)

The role could lead to all-year round employment as we may be able to offer hours in Chideock Stores & Post Office, which is linked to the park. Post Office training may be available.

We are happy to discuss the exact working pattern but the job is on a holiday park so working at weekends, during the evening and during school holidays are an important part of the job.

We have both a full and part time position, Full time is to work 5 days out of 7, on a rota basis and part time hours from 16 hours upwards available. Working days are shifts between 07.45 and 20.30 in peak times

Our parks have Holiday Customers in our caravans, lodges & glamping accommodation as well as Touring & Tenting customers and Holiday Home Owners.

We have a lot of grass, hedges, trees and grounds to maintain along with other jobs including the siting and de-siting of Caravan Holiday Homes, maintenance around the parks and assistance with park daily tasks.

This is a full-time position, all year round, available. 40 hours a week over 5 days (including Saturdays on a rotation basis from March - October). Rota working hours are between 08.00 and 18.00.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and be familiar and ideally knowledgeable in the DIY maintenance and simple & safe operation in the use of tractors, mowers and machinery for grounds maintenance and gardening as well as good attention to detail. Training will be provided for other aspects of the job including caravan siting at times and aspects of this job.

You should be prepared to help out in other areas of our team at peak times across a busy holiday park which will mean varied role but the key aspect of this role is grounds and maintenance.

Marketing Assistant
40 hours per week

Required to undertake the marketing and information role for our five holiday parks in West Dorset.

This is a permanent appointment which would ideally suit a recently qualified individual who wishes to apply skills across all aspects of marketing.

The working week will be 5 days with possibly some weekend days on occasions.

The role will include: -
i) Preparing and implementing our marketing strategy to recover from the Covid pandemic.
ii) The management and design aspects of our websites, app, blogs and social media activities including an active participation in photography.
iii) Graphic Design – brochures, menu’s, flyers etc.
iv) Research into our database of current customers to establish geographical spread, trends and future marketing opportunities.
v) Use of mailshots to attract additional business.
vi) An understanding of WordPress, Adobe InDesign and Mailchimp would be a benefit, but training can be provided.
vii) The refinement of our methods of evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and promotions.
viii) The adapting of the above to suit the different aspects of the business offered to customers which includes holiday home sales, holiday accommodation, touring pitches and facilities being available to the local community.

This is a full-time position from the end of April until November 2021.

As Touring Wardens you will be responsible for the Touring, Camping & Glamping areas on the park including two toilet and shower blocks with additional facilities for the peak summer. You may also assist in other areas of the park operation – shop, catering outlet and reception.

You will need your own touring caravan or motorhome and a touring pitch is supplied free of charge. In return for this you will be on a rota to be on call no more than 3 nights per week, when you are available to deal with any emergencies or issues which may arise.
