This Saturday July 13, the Stubbs300 exhibition will launch at The Ropewalk, featuring work by Sally Beaumont, Harold Gosney and Emma Rodgers. This exhibition is part of the celebrations of the 300th anniversary of George Stubbs.

Between 1756 and 1758 under the patronage of Sir John Nelthorpe, Stubbs spent 18 months in Horkstow dissecting and studying horses which led to the publication of ‘The Anatomy of the horse’ in 1766.

This exhibition features three contemporary artists who carry on the tradition of investigation and observation of the natural world.

We can't believe it has almost been a week since Barton Open Gardens! This was a fantastic day, with so many beautiful private gardens open to the public in aid of charity. 🌼🌻

We are delighted to share that over £1,000 has been raised for Barton Foodbank, and one garden also raised £430 for Macmillan by selling refreshments. We would like to say a huge thank you to anyone who purchased a map or opened their garden up to the public. 💚
