Opening night of art/storytelling exhibition. The paintings all created by my friend Suu Caledonia
In this painting I was the inspiration for the dark haired lass in the doorway. Feeling a little chuffed, despite her obvious profession.
The art is on display for a month, culminating with a walking tour telling tales of the Tenements.

Yesterday was Pride March in Edinburgh.
Not sure the newly weds realised their wedding day and venue included thousands marching past.

It was a truly magnificent walk from Corrour train station back to my cat at Rannoch Station.
The 11 miles were a joy. Loch Ossian gave perfect reflections. Could see so many mountains It became can you name the mountain.
And best of all, no midgies.
What a day, one of the best walks ever.

Comraderie as we waited patiently in line to pay our respects to The Queen.
6.5 hour wait and we were the early ones to get in line.

Had a tour of Edinburgh this morning. Instead of trying to avoid all the crowds, we decided to embrace it. So my group laid flowers outside Holyrood just after 9am. Already a lot of flowers laid there.

United States visitors...the prisons of Edinburgh Castle held revolutionary soldiers as prisoners here. One soldier carved a ship flying a flag of the United States on to the prison door. This makes it a very early depiction of the US flag.

The Great Tapestry of Scotland. Gorgeous to walk around it with a professional seamstress, the details are fabulous.
It depicts the story of Scotland from geology, Bannockburn, Jacobite to Elsie Inglis.
A total gem.
