So excited! I spent the last three weekends with my daughter Becky visiting Open Studios and saw over 35 other fab artists work plus all the great exhibits at Lamport hall - bought quite a few too lol. Just seen on Instagram I have won the prize draw to spend £250 with an artist of my choice Yey!!

Please could I ask for your help - please could everyone sign this petition, as I am so fed up with JCQ’s stupid regulation that we have to give our exam students their raw marks before submitting to the board. This is pure stress for both teacher and student and destroys the relationships we have so hard tried to build with each other during the course. It is heartbreaking to see so many young people in bits when they don’t get the mark they thought( which could change again when the exam board decides upon its algorithm!) We are told they have to be given to the students at this time - a time when they are prepping for other exams. This in turn upsets and confuses parents coming down on the art teachers as though it is their fault when it is a pointless exercise the teacher disagrees with too!

Tonight I am so upset I could easily leave a profession I joined over 40 years ago!

Challenge JCQ to abolish the process of issuing raw marks in Art subjects to students.
