🤫 I've been a little quiet on Socials over the last couple of weeks - January is Peak time for Travel Agents and this year has the peakiest ever for AH Escapes. Gross revenue has seen a 70% year-on-year increase with number of bookings up by over 60%. It has been an incredibly busy time and I am very grateful for everyone who has booked through AH Escapes but also for the patience you have shown while waiting for me to get to your quote.

😰 I am now operating on a 2-day turnaround and by the middle of the week it should be back to next day. I do everything in the order that it comes in but if you just want a quick price match, screen shot the details and send it over. That takes a matter of minutes - it's searching from scratch that takes time.

📪 Document despatch is currently at around 10 days ahead of departure but by the middle of the week this will be back up to the usual 2 weeks prior. If you have any questions about your travel documents please give me a call on the number below.

🌡️ In terms of what's hot at the moment, close to home, Morocco, Greece and the Canaries are my big selling destinations. So much choice and still good value, especially across North Africa. Further afield my top three destinations in recent weeks have been Australia (a lot of you are desperate to get down under this year and not just for the cricket), New Zealand and Canada.....planning these style of trips in advance is always a good idea.

⚓️ And cruise continues to go from strength to strength. Some unbelievable value to be found on ex-UK sailings and also further afield. P&O continues to lead the way but MSC and Celebrity are also proving popular. More and more clients are choosing different cruise lines on short break options out of Southampton - tremendous value and a great way of sampling each product. Remember, you can book all the way through to 2027 across all cruise lines.

👉 I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was joining forces with a friend & colleague to create our own travel company. The announcement was made to the travel trade press this week and great to see us picking up so much coverage (apologies for the cheesy grin!)

👉 New businesses come and go but the route that Lewis and I have taken in establishing this new venture (by first building our own individual brands before expanding) is quite unusual in travel.

👉 On a day to day basis, you won't notice any difference - I will still trade as AH Escapes and you will still enjoy the same high levels of service that i've build my brand on. But the team will be expanding this year to cope with the growth that Lewis and I are both seeing. And there are other developments in the pipeline too - more on that in the coming months.
