January so far has been extremely busy and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has enquired and booked so far, your support means so much.

If you have spoken to me about a holiday then please rest assured I am working on it and will come back to you as soon as possible. I am so grateful for your patience during this busy period.

I’m not the internet, every holiday I arrange is carefully researched and put together with all of your requirements in mind and I will have searched countless suppliers to make sure I offer you the best holiday. With over 25 years experience in the industry you can trust that I will be doing the best by you and will only come back to you when I have the right choices.

January usually means one thing for me - being very busy! It is usually one of my busiest times of the year as everyone’s thoughts turn to holidays. This is therefore a good time for me to share how best to reach me.

My business is all about a personal service, every enquiry will start with a call, without that call I can’t understand fully your requirements and how to find the perfect holiday. For this reason please call me or email me and we can then discuss everything about your holiday.

Travel Counsellors turned 30!! 🎉
What an incredibile weekend we all had at the annual Travel Counsellors conference in Manchester to celebrate! This is such a special weekend full of inspiration, celebration and motivation.
As always we were treated to fantastic guest speakers with amazing stories, entertainment from global superstars and our favourite host Vernon Kay.
Meeting so many of our supplier partners is always a huge part of the weekend and gives us the opportunity to strengthen our great relationships.
But overall, my favourite part of the weekend is always spending time with our phenomenal support team from head office and my wonderful colleagues that have become life long friends. I couldn’t have a successful business without them ❤️
Loved it all and I’m already looking forward to Liverpool 2025!

Lovely Monday spent yesterday on board the Fred Olsen cruise ship “Bolette”
It was changeover day at Liverpool so we were lucky enough to be able to see the ship and all it’s spaces without passengers on board. This meant we could also view all the different cabin grades.
We were treated to a wonderful breakfast of fresh pastries, coffee and bucks fizz, lovely mocktails and a fabulous three course lunch.
Fred Olsen is a cruise company that is keeping things smaller with an emphasis on personal service, incredible food, value for money with very reasonable drinks packages/speciality dining/spa treatments and having smaller ships means they benefit from being able to visit special places the bigger ships can’t get to.
I was very impressed by this ship and all the spaces on board, the cabin sizes and of course the friendly and welcoming staff.

Back at my desk tomorrow after 12 wonderful days in Crete with my little family 🇬🇷☀️❤️

We decided to split our stay between two different hotels and areas to see a little more, Crete is a huge island and I last visited around 16 years ago but had only seen the eastern side, so this time I booked a hotel on the western side and another right in the middle. It worked out perfectly!

For the first 4 nights we stayed in a small hotel in Aghia Marina on a bed & breakfast basis. The hotel was lovely with the most wonderful and friendly staff, the rooms were huge and it was close to really great tavernas, the resort and the beach. Otherresorts were also close by and we could visit Chania old town easily. Chania old town is stunning! 😍

We then moved to a 5* all inclusive hotel just outside of Rethymnon, a totally different experience of course, the perfect place to relax and completely switch off.
The hotel was beautiful, food amazing and the views were just incredible.
Splitting our stay gave us the best of both worlds and worked out perfect for us as a family.
We will definitely be visiting Crete again, so much more to explore of this special island 💞

Fantastic day on board the Regal Princess in Liverpool for Travel Counsellors family day. We’re very lucky to have the opportunity to get on board for ship visits but today was extra special and fun as I could take my family too

I love booking cruises and at Travel Counsellors we have a great relationship with so many of the cruise line companies. Did you know we have price parity with most cruise companies? This means you can book your cruise with me for the same price as booking directly but you’ll have me to help you with questions, paperwork any anything else you might need! You’ll also be helping my business.
There really is something for everyone on a cruise!

A few weeks ago I met up with a lovely couple who had just returned from an amazing holiday and they brought these beautiful flowers for me to say thank you ☺️
This was a trip of a life time but due to an unfortunate accident early on in the holiday it didn’t quite go to plan. Despite this they had the most incredible time and said that having me at the end of the phone from the other side of the world was such a huge help and very reassuring. I arranged new flights, helped with paperwork, cancelled arrangements and generally supported them throughout. They said my service was outstanding and they would never look to book elsewhere again ❤️ (this was the first time they had booked with me)

We never expect things to go wrong on holiday but sometimes unexpected things happen, whether that’s an accident, illness, flight cancellations or weather disruptions. When you’re thousands of miles from home would you have support? Would you have someone there to help no matter what time of day or time zone you’re in? Maybe consider this next time you are thinking of booking a holiday.

It’s a privilege to put together amazing holidays that mean so much to my customers but my service is not just taking a booking, I will be there throughout to answer questions, help with paperwork and entry requirements, arrange tickets and check ins and of course support should anything not go to plan.

8 years!! I have no idea where 8 years has gone, starting my own business was a huge leap of faith following redundancy but thanks to the support of incredible family,friends and a few customers my business started to grow and continues to grow every year.
A huge thank you to everyone that supports my business, the bookings, recommendations and referrals. You are supporting a small business and it means the world to me and my family.

I can’t believe it’s already the 1st of March! The last two months have absolutely flown by as it’s been so busy. A huge thank you to all the lovely customers that booked with me during this peak time, every single booking means so much when you run a small business and are self employed. 💞 I know during busy times it can sometimes take me a little longer to come back to you, I do work alone and am always committed to finding the best which is not a quick thing. Your patience and loyalty is so appreciated.

As if February wasn’t busy enough I also set myself an extra challenge to walk 100 miles for cancer research along with my sister in memory of our mum that was taken far too early at just 52. It was definitely challenging due to time and weather but we completed 100 miles each yesterday and apart from raising nearly £700 for the charity it also forced me to leave my desk and get some fresh air (or wet,cold and windy air anyway!) The photo is on one of the days where we actually had some sun.

There’s so many ways to book holidays these days and of course everyone is looking for the best price but when you go to an expert remember that they don’t just give you a price, so much more will have gone in to your holiday enquiry. Hours of research, invaluable expertise which comes from years of experience (over 20 years for me now!) , guidance and honest advice that no online company will give you, complete financial and package protection, but most importantly care and peace of mind. I will be here to help, advise and guide from our first conversation to the time you arrive home and beyond plus a 24/7 UK emergency duty office for when you’re travelling if you were to need them. I’m pretty sure no website can give you that.
It’s so easy now to forget the chaos that Covid caused for travel but when the worst happened I was here for my customers and everyone received the refund they were due, there are people out there still fighting with online companies for what they are owed!
Whilst I will always be competitive and find the absolute best for my customers, I’m not an online company but you definitely won’t find what I do online either.
