🚨New Tour Alert: Vicious Victorians - starts 2 weeks today!🚨

Dare to dive into the darkest corners of Dundee’s Victorian past? Introducing Vicious Victorians, a hair-raising new walking tour that peels back the polite veneer of the 1800s to reveal a world of murder, mystery, and true crime lurking in the streets of Dundee. For six weeks only, we’ll take you on a journey through a city haunted by blood-curdling tales.

Starting on Tuesday, 1st October, Vicious Victorians will delve into stories of murder and true crime in Dundee during the reign of Queen Victoria, one from each decade of her rule.

The tour begins at the historic Howff Cemetery on Meadowside—a final resting place for many whose lives met a grim and sudden end. From there, we’ll walk to the Old Steeple, Dundee’s oldest silent witness to centuries of turmoil, terror, and tragedy. Finally, we’ll descend into the underground Vaults on Exchange Street, setting the perfect stage for our final chilling tales.

Each of these locations serves as the backdrop for our stories—but don't expect a full tour or any of the history of these iconic landmarks. These spots are simply the scenes for some of the most horrifying stories from the city's true crime past.

Guided by the gruesome twosome, Louise and Stewart—Dundee’s finest purveyors of dark history—you’ll hear the real stories. No costumes, no sugar-coating, just cold, hard facts, wrapped in gritty humour that makes the truth hit harder. We're aff on our summer holiday tomorrow, so we'll be out of office for a whole week. We'll try to think of you all when we're in 30 degree weather tomorrow and you're all stuck in the rain 😂

Here's hoping for a better summer than last year, although it's not been looking good so far we're ever the optimists! Our Old Steeple tour tonight has been cancelled, we've contacted everyone booked in but that was the last one of the season, we'll have more dates soon for 2024. We've now been upgraded to a red warning in Dundee so stay safe everyone!

⚠️The Met Office has extended the area likely to be impacted by the Red weather warning for rain today and Friday for

This means extremely dangerous travel conditions and floodwater could cause a danger to life.

Areas likely to be affected:
🔴 Aberdeenshire
🔴 Angus
🔴 Dundee
🔴 Perth and Kinross

This is in addition to Amber warnings for rain and wind likely to affect:
🟠 Central, Tayside and Fife
🟠 Grampian
🟠 Highland

🟡 A Yellow warning for rain is in place for South West Scotland and the Lothian and Borders.

Travel advice:
❌ All road users should avoid any form of travel in areas covered by the Red weather warning
🌧️ Conditions for travel may be extremely dangerous with disruption and significant delays
🚗 Always consider the consequences of driving when there is a warning to avoid travel
💧 If you drive in areas covered by Amber or Yellow warnings, be aware surface water can increase your stopping distance by at least double.

⛔ Plan ahead and don’t travel into areas likely to be affected by the Red weather warning.
