We're aff on our summer holiday tomorrow, so we'll be out of office for a whole week. We'll try to think of you all when we're in 30 degree weather tomorrow and you're all stuck in the rain 😂

Here's hoping for a better summer than last year, although it's not been looking good so far we're ever the optimists! What recurring patterns do you notice in history? We've been so busy in the Vaults recently that we've filled our guest book! It has been there since we started Vaults tours in 2018, and we always love seeing the amazing comments you leave us and seeing how far across the world some people have travelled from.

What's on this week? The Vaults is back! But both this week and next are completely sold out! We still have some dates on before Christmas we're running up until 16th December, but tomorrow is our first tour back in the Vaults since early 2020. We've got new rooms and completely new stories to tell too so we're super excited to let you all see what we've been up to for the last few months.

Both this time and the first time we ran tours in the Vaults in 2018, a huge clean-up job was needed to make it ready for you all to visit, trust us you did not want to see the amount of cobwebs we dealt with! This pic is for everyone who doesn't believe us when we tell them there was so much junk down there we even found a Tesco shopping trolley that looked like it was from the 80's, finally found proof 😲😂 There was so much stuff you couldn't even enter any of the rooms apart from one, but tomorrow after the tour we'll share some pics of what it's looking like now.

Our Old Steeple tour tonight has been cancelled, we've contacted everyone booked in but that was the last one of the season, we'll have more dates soon for 2024. We've now been upgraded to a red warning in Dundee so stay safe everyone!

⚠️The Met Office has extended the area likely to be impacted by the Red weather warning for rain today and Friday for

This means extremely dangerous travel conditions and floodwater could cause a danger to life.

Areas likely to be affected:
🔴 Aberdeenshire
🔴 Angus
🔴 Dundee
🔴 Perth and Kinross

This is in addition to Amber warnings for rain and wind likely to affect:
🟠 Central, Tayside and Fife
🟠 Grampian
🟠 Highland

🟡 A Yellow warning for rain is in place for South West Scotland and the Lothian and Borders.

Travel advice:
❌ All road users should avoid any form of travel in areas covered by the Red weather warning
🌧️ Conditions for travel may be extremely dangerous with disruption and significant delays
🚗 Always consider the consequences of driving when there is a warning to avoid travel
💧 If you drive in areas covered by Amber or Yellow warnings, be aware surface water can increase your stopping distance by at least double.

⛔ Plan ahead and don’t travel into areas likely to be affected by the Red weather warning.

📻 Listen to media broadcasts, including radio, for updates.
