The 3 P’s of that we pride ourselves on… 🥰🐘🇿🇼

🔸 Passionate: Our passion for the majestic Matusadona National Park, the wildlife and Lake Kariba defines everything we do.

🔸 Personal: We pride ourselves on going beyond the typical safari operator. Arrive a stranger, leave a friend.

🔸 Paradise: The natural rhythms of nature combined with the raw, untamed environment give us our piece of paradise.

Chanel Maas gave Pafuri Rivercamp a 5 Star Review on SafariNow! 😍🌟
Chanel says… “We had such a good stay at this camp. Each site having its own ablutions was such a treat. It was a truly African experience …We also spent every night listening to and looking for the bushbabies in the trees above us. We felt completely safe and at ease the whole time, and it was only a 4km drive to the Pafuri Kruger gate.”

Tripadvisor has recently awarded us the honour of #1 Best Value of 5 places to stay in Lake Kariba! 🥳🙌🌟

Thanks to all our amazing guests and their wonderful reviews that we keep attaining these important ratings. Here’s a lovely recent review from a first time visitor to that we had to share:

“We visited Rhino Safari Camp for the first time recently, and had a wonderful stay. The camp is tucked away on Lake Kariba, ensuring little adverse environmental impact on the area. Simple, rustic and comfortable, with knowledgeable guides and warm and friendly staff - a perfect getaway. And the wonderful Kelly Landrey's photography. Thanks everyone! We will be back......” - Lorna McCosh.

As Kenya’s human population grows, competition for land rapidly increases and with it, so too does human wildlife conflict. This is one of the biggest issues facing conservation work in Kenya today.

With their intelligence, ability to roam vast distances, immense appetites, elephants are the primary offenders when it comes to crop raiding. While Big Life has seen a vast reduction in crop raiding incidents following the construction of over 100 km of electric fencing, as is always the case with elephants, some inevitably find a way to get through.

This week, Big Life rangers were alerted to the presence of three bull elephants that had wandered into Kimana Group Ranch community lands. Pushing wild elephants back into wilderness areas is an exhausting process for the rangers, farmers, and elephants involved, but thanks to the dedication and cooperation of both Big Life and KWS rangers, these elephants were eventually guided back over the fence line to safety.
