We had the pleasure of helping this gentleman with not one, but two FUE procedures here at The Maitland Clinic. The first one was all about bringing back his frontal hairline, with a total of 1613 grafts used. For the second round, we tackled his crown area with an additional 947 grafts.

Each procedure was planned to ensure a natural and balanced result, taking into consideration his hair growth pattern and donor supply to ensure he still had enough in reserve should he need surgery in the future to address further hair loss.

With a meticulous approach, Dr Ball and his team were able to increase the density of his previous hair transplant over the frontal third, mid scalp to anterior crown. A total of 2448 grafts by FUT were used to achieve these results.

Our conservative approach not only ensures natural-looking results but also considers future hair loss progression and offers our patient natural coverage of the crown which is reinforced with hair loss medication to ensure longevity of his results.

Under the skilled hands of Dr Ball and our expert team, 3803 grafts by FUT were delicately transplanted to achieve these natural and seamless results.
By meticulously recreating the flow and distribution of our patient's original hair, the transplanted follicles blended effortlessly with their existing strands.

An FUT procedure, also known as Follicular Unit Transplantation, involves the removal of a strip of tissue from the donor area, typically at the back of the scalp. This is then dissected into individual follicular units for transplantation into the recipient area.

We were very pleased to see our patient back at The Maitland Clinic for their 12-month follow-up consultations following a hair transplant procedure to restore temporal points back in January 2023. Only 607 grafts by FUE were used by Dr Ball and his team to achieve a natural, undetectable outcome for our patient.

We are delighted to welcome Trichologist and Nurse Prescriber Marta Teixeira to The Maitland Clinic team!

Marta is a Certified Trichologist (specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp conditions) and Dermatology Specialist Nurse in the NHS who is currently studying for an MSc in Clinical Dermatology. She has successfully completed the Fundamentals of Hair Science and Hair Claims course by TRI Princeton, a leading global centre for hair and cosmetic science research, as well as the Independent Prescribing Postgraduate course, making her the first Nurse Prescribing Trichologist in the UK, enabling her to prescribe medication in her specialised field.

A small FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) procedure can provide natural-looking results when performed by a skilled surgeon and technician team. FUE involves extracting individual hair follicles from the donor area and transplanting them to the recipient area.
