If you are interested in the Tour de France this year, here are the various stages of the race:

STAGE 17: OFF TO SUPER DEVOLUY

Wednesday 17th July, with the start in the Drôme, the riders will head for the resort of Superdévoluy in the Hautes-Alpes,🚵 over a distance of 178 km.

STAGE 18: FROM GAP TO BARCELONNETTE

Thursday 18th July marks the 18th stage of the Tour de France 2024, from Gap to Barcelonnette in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The race resumes for 179 km, and Gap, the gentle capital of the French Southern Alps⛰, welcomes the famous race for the 27th time since 1931.

STAGE 19: FROM EMBRUN TO ISOLA 2000

On Friday 19th July, the 19th stage of the Tour de France 2024 will start in Embrun in the Hautes-Alpes to reach the resort of Isola 2000 in the Alpes-Maritimes,🏞 over a distance of 145 km.

STAGE 20: FROM NICE TO COL DE LA COUILLOLE

On Saturday 21st July, the start of the 20th stage will be in the town of Nice, which since 1906, has had thirty-eight appearances as a host town for a stage of the Tour de France. This 133-kilometre-long stage will arrive at the top of the Col de la Couillole in the Alpes-Maritimes.

STAGE 21: FROM MONACO TO NICE FOR THE YELLOW JERSEY

Sunday 21st July will see the last stage of the Tour de France 2024, with the start in the Principality and the finish in Nice🌊. The finalists will take part in a 34-km individual and decisive time trial! The riders will give everything they have for an unusual arrival, which will take place not in Paris in the tradition of the Tour de France, but in the capital of the Côte d’Azur🏆

The Sound Odyssey at the Roman Theatre of Orange - a unique visiting experience !

Provence & the Côte d’Azur embraces all of our senses… the first time I experienced olive oil and vinaigrette pairing, my sense of taste came alive!! The Olympics kick off in Paris on 26 July 2024 … so many exciting events will be held at iconic venues such as beach Volleyball which will take place beneath the Eiffel Tower !!! I wanted to share our latest little gem tucked away on the southern coast of Crete in a village called Irepetra. If all you want to do is escape the stresses of every day life and enjoy a tranquil break, then the Numo hotel in Irepetra is perfect. The Greek food is delicious, the service first class and the scenery is simply beautiful… from clear blue seas, mountains, canyons and an island rich in history. DID YOU KNOW .. Thank you to the 13 beautiful Solo in Style ladies for making our recent tour of France not only a success, but fun and unforgettable! For ladies who do not like to travel alone but have a hunger for seeing the world, a desire to appreciate different cultures and to meet new like-minded women, the Solo in Style Facebook group is the one to join!! Inspire Me Travel (and sister company Voyages d’exception) organised a 3 centre tour of France … Paris, Provence and the Côte d’Azur. It was a blast!!
In 2023 and 2024 we also have tours to Italy, Croatia, Morocco, Turkey, Ireland, France … and more. All accommodation is in single rooms.

Have you heard about the underwater winery in CROATIA where the wine is stored 20 metres under the sea? We booked a trip to Croatia for some clients over Easter which included a trip to the winery; such a unique experience, they loved it!! Just over an hour from Dubrovnik surrounded by stunning scenery & azure seas, it is the first winery in the world to have a licence to age wines under the sea. They have been doing so since 2011. Our clients followed their visit with a boat trip to catch oysters and then a trip to Pag Island, famous for its Goats Cheese. Wine, cheese & Oysters … in one of the world’s most fascinating, enticing, and visibly beautiful European destinations!!

The season of music festivals will soon be upon us; one of my favourites being the Jazz Festival in Juan Les Pins on the French Riviera. Not only is the ambience extraordinary, the background is overwhelmingly beautiful; as you enjoy the music of these marvellous performers, you witness the sun setting over the Côte d’Azur. It truly is magical. This summer dance the night away to Nile Rodgers & Chic… Le Freak! Everybody Dance! And more! Or sit back and enjoy the sultry tones of the beautiful Melody Gardot.
