The ability to bring back classic vessels to working condition while maintaining their original charm is a valuable skill in today's world. It is also a part of Brixham's rich heritage.

Bobby and his team at R. Cann & Son Ltd have worked on some historic boats in their time and have a large portfolio of work on Westcountry fishing vessels. They are widely recognised for their extensive experience and craftsmanshp, particularly in wooden boat building and refits.

Bobby moved to Brixham in 1970 after completing his boat building apprenticeship and was an owner of three fishing trawlers in the 1980's. He is a popular member of the Veteran Brixham Seafarers Group (formerly known as the Veteran Fisherman's Mission) which meets weekly on Tuesdays at 2pm in the United Reformed Church on New Road.
