Europe’s Only Train-on-a-Ferry route – Mainland Italy 🇮🇹 to Sicily 🇮🇹 overnight

A truly unique travel experience! Milan and Rome to Sicily the relaxing way by train, which crosses the Strait of Messina as part of its journey!

I was thrilled to receive these gorgeous photos and amazing feedback from my lovely clients, sisters Clare and Anna, who have just returned from a weekend away in Istanbul!

The smiles on their faces say it all!

Their request was for a ‘boutique’ stay in the centre of Istanbul to celebrate Anna’s special birthday, with Anna travelling direct from Manchester and Clare from London.

I loved doing the research for this trip, and found them coordinating flights and the perfect hotel, Doruk Palas, in the buzzing and cool Galata area, with narrow streets and chic bars, which ‘exceeded their expectations’ with ‘amazing and helpful staff’.

Istanbul is a feast for the senses, where Europe and Asia meet at the edges of the Sea of Marmara.

They loved browsing the lively city bazaars and sipping traditional tea and marveling at the iconic blue mosque and Hagia Sophia and enjoying the unique flavours of delicious Turkish cuisine.

I was thrilled that they loved Istanbul so much and had a wonderful time celebrating together with memories to last a lifetime.

And I had lovely feedback from Anna which makes my job so rewarding!
