Puffins may be ‘clowns of the sea' but they never fool around in love! 🐧 💖 These little cuties choose a life-long mate AND they’re very successful at long-distance romance. After being separated at sea for 8 months during winter, they return to the Isle of May each year, find each other, and get their resident burrow in order for mating season. And they called it puffin love… 💕💕💕

Our community is indebted to our RNLI and volunteers who work tirelessly around our coast in all weathers and we wish them a fabulous day celebrating the arrival of the new lifeboat.

Sunday 14th see’s our amazing RNLI volunteers bring the brand new Shannon class boat to its new home in Anstruther. She will arrive at 13:47, I’m sure there will be a buzz around town awaiting her arrival. Show your support and join the crowds to welcome her home

At 9.30am tomorrow, five of Anstruther’s crew will depart the RNLI College in Poole to start the long journey home by sea with our new lifeboat.
As planned, the lifeboat will arrive in Anstruther on Sunday (14 April) at 13.47pm where she’ll be met by our shore team at the harbour entrance for recovery ashore.
Let’s hope the weather is kind for our team on their long passage home! 🧡💙
