Following the success of the 2024 Gambia Beach Championships, we have set the dates for 2025. We will start on Tuesday, 8 April with the Welcome Meeting, fishing the next three days and the Presentation and Closing Dinner on Saturday, 12 April. Further details will be posted later this year.

A big thank you to all your sponsors and anglers for making the 2024 competition a great success.

A huge thank you to the anglers, helpers and sponsors for making the Gambia Beach Championships 2024 a great success. Thanks also to the British High Commissioner to The Gambia, H. E. Harriet King and to Sunita Gehani for presenting the prizes and trophies last night. Thanks also to Vineyard for hosting us for our presentation and meal. And finally congratulations to all the anglers for competing in a true sportsman like manner and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Wishing you all a safe journey home.

I am pleased to advise that the dates for the 2023 Gambia Beach Fishing Championships will be Wednesday, 22 March to Sunday, 26 March.

The Welcome Meeting will be on the evening of Wednesday, 22 March, followed by 3 days of fishing - 5 hour pegged matches each day from Thursday, 23 March to Saturday, 25 March, culminating with the Presentation Ceremony on Sunday, 26 March.

I hope the usual support will be forthcoming from our long standing sponsors as well as new additions to the Championships, especially after the overwhelming support given by local businesses in March this year to get the Championships up and going in full swing again after the difficulties caused by Covid-19 and look forward to another great event.

Further details will be provided soon.
