Summer in Switzerland!
Urgent request for House & Pet sitter, 20th July- 10th August 2024
We are searching for one person/couple or a family to care of our house, cat, dog, garden and plants. All languages are welcome (including french)! Our home is a large, bright and sunny LOFT. Most of the rooms remain OPEN! Modern kitchen, fully equipped (except microwave), cheminee, greenhouse and a large garden. Large bathroom, toilets, laundry room and basement. There are 3 bedrooms, two for single (enclosed) but possibility to add a small bed, one for adults (open area). There is an additional room in the basement, which may also serve as bedroom (for 2 persons). Very quiet village at 5 km from the first city.

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the ###III Olympiad, will be held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
Paris 2024 promises to be a celebration of sport and culture, blending historical venues with modern sustainability initiatives, and providing a spectacular experience for participants and spectators alike.
Over 10,000 athletes from more than 200 nations are expected to compete in 32 sports
Stade de France in Saint-Denis will host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as athletics events.
Paris La Défense Arena will be the venue for swimming and water polo.
Roland Garros Stadium will host tennis events.
The 2024 Olympics will feature the debut of breaking (breakdancing) as an Olympic sport. Other sports like surfing, sport climbing, and skateboarding, which made their debut in Tokyo 2020, will return.

"This was a house and cat sitting arrangement only, with Alison assisting us whilst we needed to be away from our home. We were so pleased to leave our (indoor only) cat in such willing and capable hands, whilst at the same time providing Alison with the opportunity to explore our area of North Yorkshire. We arrived home, after a rather challenging drive in atrocious weather, to find our home clean, neat and tidy. Alison had even managed to remake our bed with fresh linen - definitely over and above the call of duty! Thank you Alison for caring for our home and much loved pussycat, Percy, whilst we were away."

Family of 4, living in a nine-room house in one of the nicest area's of Amsterdam, looking for a swap in France.
Great neighborhood called the Watergraafsmeer, near the city centre of Amsterdam, but green and fairly quiet. The architecture in the area dates back to 1870-1930s, with a few older buildings such as a 17th-century country house. Lots of café's, restaurants and small-scale shops. Two excellent parks nearby.

"Didier and Ghislaine were exceptional hosts. We had a wonderful time in their bright, top floor apartment overlooking Paris. We arrived to a lovely meal, beautiful cheeses and a gorgeous bottle of wine from Ghlislaine's region. The apartment is 200 metres from the Lourmel Metro. This meant we had easy access to all of Paris. However, most days, we walked through the nearby Andre Citroen Park, along the Seine, through the Isle de Signes and into central Paris. Its a beautiful walk. There is so much to do and see in Paris. However, with Didier and Ghislaine's suggestions, we explored much of hidden Paris - the places that most tourists don't see. This included Parc Saint Cloud, Gardin de Plants, Renoir's house in Montmartre Museum, Musee De L'Armee, Bois De Vincenns, Parc De Luxembourg, the Pantheon, Victor Hugo's house in Place de Vosges and the Petit Trianon in Versailles to name but a few. We had amazing croissants and patisseries from the local boulangerie, Le Grenier De Felix, and ate out locally in the nearby restaurants. At night, we swayed to Jazz in the Caveau de la Huchette, a Violin quartet of Vivaldi's Four Seasons in La Madeleine Church and a candlelight Bach concert in St Ephrem Church. "
