Well I had a surprise this morning. I conducted a private tour of Corbiere Lighthouse for a Rotary friend Wendy Riley.Not only did we see two beautiful Peregrine Falcons we also met up with four members of The South African Rugby team who had walked out on the causeway to have a look at the lighthouse. They are here in Jersey for a week on a training camp. Great to see them here!. Thanks for coming to Jersey.

Blue Badge Guide Roger Noel had a surprise this morning while conducting a private tour of Corbiere Lighthouse this morning. Not only were we graced with the presence of two Peregrine Falcons but also four members of the South African Rugby team had walked out along the causeway to have a closer look at the lighthouse. They are in Hersey for a week on a training camp. They leave Jersey on Sunday and play Scotland on Saturday week at Murrayfield.

An opportunity not to be missed.

Local Author and Historian and Veteran Paul Burnal will be on duty at the museum over the next few days for anyone who wants to get any of his books signed to give as Christmas Presents. Not only is the museum worth a visit but you can get some of the Christmas shopping done without even going into town and all the hassle that involves.

uncovered for a fabulous family group today, and demonstrated that come rain or shine, wind and rain, a .uncovered tour is never dull … even if the weather is! Man vs wind vs umbrella was very entertaining 😉

Our had the privilege of ‘uncovering’ all things over 3 days for a wonderful group from the U.K. They are past masters of a variety of the City of London’s historic guilds, and together with their partners they took a trip through Jersey’s story, from prehistory to the present day. Helping Tracey was the amazing weather which ensured they saw at its absolute best ☀️ These stunning images were taken by the past master of the Worshipful Company of Cutlers.

The Jersey Uncovered team are blown away by your fantastic response to the news that, with the kind permission of , we are running tours of Jersey’s historic and iconic Corbière Lighthouse. However, due to the unprecedented interest and huge number of enquiries, we aren’t able to take any more bookings for the time being.

But don’t worry, Jersey Uncovered is working on the team’s availability and identifying suitable tide times and will be releasing additional tour dates in the very near future.

OPEN DAY AT LE HOCQ TOWER! COME ON DOWN AND ENJOY THE VIEW

Le Hocq Tower in St Clement is next open to the public on TODAY Sunday 4th August 2024 between 10am-4pm and for the first Sunday of every month up to October.

Come and take a look around our fascinating Tower and discover its intriguing history. Discover more about the important Ramsar-designated wetlands site that it overlooks and perhaps find the remains of the old barrell wells.

FREE entry - but donations to Jersey Heritage welcome.

Tours of La Corbière lighthouse are now available to book through our partners Jersey Uncovered.
Their qualified guides will take visitors on a supervised two hour tour covering the history, character and drama of one of the islands most famous landmark.

Tours are limited and are being held, tides permitting, though out August and September.
