If you walk along the beach to Old Hunstanton (keeping an eye on the tide times) then you'll see the wreck of the Sheraton trawler which has been on the beach since 1947.
Of course, if you have young children with you then it becomes a shipwrecked pirate boat! Even better if you've got some shiny gold treasure coins with you that you can sneakily drop on the wreck when they're looking the other way 😉

The lifeboat station at Old Hunstanton is open to visitors today 🙂 We've just walked along the beach from Hunstanton. It's a lovely walk, just check the tide times first. There is a screen showing the tide times on the prom right near to The Beach Hut.

The Salad Bowl Cafe offers lovely views across the Wash and is only a 15 minute stroll along the prom and through the gardens past the Pier Amusements. You'll also find a children's park and pitch and putt nearby.

We spotted this little gem for vegans on the prom yesterday. Elliot's caters for vegans with a wide range of choices. Just head to the prom and turn right. Head the other way and East Coast Gelato has vegan ice cream and cookies 😋

When in Hunstanton it's important to keep an eye on the ducks. This one was stood in the middle of the road outside The Beach Hut when we went to Sally's for fish & chips yesterday. When we walked back 30 minutes later (there was a queue) it was still stood in the middle of the road, refusing to move out of the way for a black mini despite the driver hooting her horn and we had to shoo it off the road!

Very occasionally we get a phone call asking if we have a beach hut for rent. Unfortunately we don't. The Beach Hut was so named because of its very close proximity to the prom and beach. It actually has 3 bedrooms with very comfy beds, a very well equipped kitchen, a downstairs loo and 2 parking spaces amongst other things. We're also affordable.
However we did rather like the look of this beach hut on our walk yesterday.
Message us for our summer availability, we do have a little left. 🙂
