This Saturday, head to Guildhall Square for more Chinese New Year celebrations with UK Shaolin and Hampshire Chinese Association 🐍🏮 From 12pm, there will be free games and activities, health and well-being events, and dragon and lion dance performances.

Step back in time to discover a time when female pioneers defied expectations and soared through the skies with Spitfire Girls, coming to MAST Mayflower Studio's this March. 🎭

Spitfire Girls is inspired by the extraordinary true stories of the women who dared to fly during WWII and the incredible bond that tied them together. Funny and heart-warming, this is an untold story of strength, courage and loss. But above all else, hope.

With Southampton playing a vital role in aircraft history, producing some of the first spitfire prototypes, this is your opportunity to connect with a pivotal chapter in the city's remarkable past.

Marking the 80th Anniversary year of the end of World War II, the production has been developed with support from the National Theatre Generate Programme and Royal British Legion.

Our showstopper piece is now complete! ❄️ This stunning wintry scene was brought to life by artist Tom Baker, thanks to the efforts and funding of GO! Southampton and Southampton FC, in partnership with Westquay and Brackenwood Windows. 🌟 The artwork highlights homegrown Saints players, including Matt Le Tissier, Megan Collett, and Francis Benali, alongside the historic Bargate—once the city's grand entrance. Our Story

GO! Southampton is the Business Improvement District (BID) for Southampton City Centre. Funded and led by local business, the BID is using its 5-year term to implement a range of initiatives that will create a greater city entre experience, deliver better marketing and events and develop stronger business. Working in partnership with local stakeholders, the BID’s ultimate aim is to realise Southampton’s potential as a world-class city, which will in turn benefit residents, visitors and the businesses that fund it.

Our Vision:

Southampton is the major city on the South coast and one of the region’s fastest growing, with a population of over 250,000 and a catchment area exceeding two million people.

The city offers a top 20 UK university education, a shopping experience ranked in the UK’s top 20 and employment for 33,000 people in the city centre alone.
