Red Moon's crew have been spending time on Skye this winter working on the plot of land they bought a wee while ago...for those who don't already know we are planning our own off- grid home on the island we have spent so much time sailing around !

Red Moon's crew have been busy since the end of our season with getting the boat all wrapped up for winter, along with the start of our winter cheffing stints. In between we are enjoying the downtime with ( mostly) calm weather, beautiful autumnal colours and some lovely meals out 😋

Red Moon's crew had a special end of season treat at the wonderful near Cairndow. We were blessed with a stunning evening, fabulous views and a cosy and comfortable shepherds hut to stay in. The highlight was a truly beautiful meal. Inver serves a six course tasting menu focusing on very local wild and farmed produce. Fantastic service and a great atmosphere...and very delicious cocktails !
A place we have anchored near in past days, it is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a place to stop on your journey to Red Moon 😋.

Red Moon is settled back and we have had some nice clear days to get her into winter mode...with some family to help too ! Mary's brother Dave joined us for a few days and he helped us on deck with getting our sails down ☺️
