Sense Adventures visited the Gower, South Wales this weekend. What a great weekend walking over the downs, along the grassy headland, out along the miles of sandy beach taking in a swim to cool down. Great company, great food. Thank you to all VIs and volunteers. More holidays planned.

Hello all,

Please see attached a lovely photo from our walk on Saturday. We found plenty of shade from St. Ann's Well taking in earnslaw quarry where the guide dogs had a welcome dip.
We ended our walk with tea at Cowleigh Park Farm where Luke and Ruth kindly hosted an open garden event and the proceeds were donated to Sense Adventures. A big thank you to them for the fabulous amount of £457. This will enable us to continue to offer discounted places for holidays,

Come along to the beautiful gardens at Cowleigh Park Farm from to midday to 5.00. Today as Owners Ruth and Luke are opening their garden under the National Gardens Scheme and proceeds are going to support Sense Adventures. So join us for a selection of tea and cakes and meet our group who are ending our walk there.

Would you like to be out in the fresh air to enjoy a whole day of
walking with friends?
Our next day walk is on Saturday, 11th May. Come and share our beautiful Malvern Hills with our friendly group of blind/VI walkers and volunteer guides. We meet you on the platform at Great Malvern station and spend the whole day on the Hills. We walk for around 6 or 7 miles and picnic on the Hills. Guide dogs welcome. We have had so much positive feedback come through from our last holiday, so much so that we cannot wait for our next chance to get active again.
We would like to remind everybody of the dates of our day walk for 2024. The day walks are £15 per person. They are designed as 8 miles of walking along the peaks of the Malvern Hill. ​Sense Adventures will meet you off trains arriving into Great Malvern station and one-to-one guides are available throughout your day. Guide dogs are welcome.

Summer walking in the Malverns.
Would you like to spend the weekend staying in a hotel nestling in the heart of the Malvern Hills? We spend the day out on the Hills walking with a fun and sociable group. If you are blind or visually impaired come and join us for this 3 nights stay. We provide trained volunteer guides who meet you off your train and are available for the weekend as you need. On the Sunday afternoon we will be visiting a place of local interest to be confirmed. The walks are suitable for beginners and regular walkers. The cost is £350 per person on a twin-sharing basis for bed and breakfast and guides throughout your stay.

We were blessed with sunshine again this weekend as 8 blind and VI
guests plus guide dog enjoyed a 3 night stay in the Malvern Hills Hotel
We walked on Saturday up to the Worcester Beacon and on Sunday a
shorter walk to the Hereford Beacon followed by a visit to the historic
town of Ledbury with a walk and talk around the town with local
historian Chris.
Evenings were in the Malvern Hills Hotel joined by some of the volunteers.
Great company, great food and some great walks.

At LOOK on , we are proud to have a . Charlotte Carson, the Director of LOOK, began losing her sight at aged seven and has a background in disability equality training.

When we talk about , it's essential to have people in senior leadership positions who know firsthand the challenges their beneficiaries face. Charlotte's experience has been invaluable in shaping LOOK's pioneering peer mentoring programme, which links visually impaired children with a blind mentor, to help beat isolation, share joys and challenges and make sure no-one struggles alone.
