This week we immersed our babies into the wonderful world of colour. A mood boosting lesson to brighten up our January but most importantly, to support the development of our babies vision. The most undeveloped sense at birth and therefore, one we continue to stimulate in all lessons.

Playing with colourful toys and being exposed to our array of colourful props helps to strengthen eye muscles and supports brain growth and maturity. Our emotional development also enhances too by associating certain colours with mood and feelings.

Not only that, our activities this week also supported;

Eye tracking
Colour awareness
Cause and effect
Muscle strength and endurance
Eye teaming
Balance and postural control
Language and communication
Tactile awareness and hand flexibility

Why hello there 👋🏻 we have had lots of new followers recently and we have lots of new families joining us next term so I thought I would introduce the faces behind the team!

My name is Hannah and I have had the pleasure of sharing my week with your wonderful babies for the last 4.5 years! I am a mom of 2, and before running classes, I attended them with my babies so can say from personal experience you will ❤️ it!

The lady to my right (nanny sensory) also happens to be my mom! She helps out in classes and is always there to listen, support and entertain.

Between us, we will look after you and your baby and welcome you to our family. We work super hard (no matter the task) to make each class perfect and unique.

We lift you up on your tough days and we celebrate with you on successes however big or small.

Whatever you want to get out of your sensory experience whether that’s learning about your babies development, bonding with your baby, making friends or getting tips for things to do at home, we will have you covered.

I know what’s coming up for your babies in 2025 and it’s all magical 💫

After a few days off, I just wanted to hop back online to say the biggest THANK YOU to all our wonderful families who sent cards and gifts or shared love on socials the past few weeks. ♥️

I also want to give thanks to our 4 lovely venues for their hospitality. And my dream team - Emily, Lucie, Erin, Jo and of course, Nanny Sensory.

I’ll be a little quieter on here to soak in the festivities with my family but you guys are always in my thoughts as I look ahead to delivering your new term and making sure it’s as perfect as the last.

Yesterday all our babies received an exclusive Baby Sensory book as their Christmas gift 🎁 sharing a book with your baby is a lovely thing to do but it also doubles up as a keepsake of your babies first Christmas every year you get the Christmas box down. I still have mine from my daughter’s classes … 9 years ago 🥰

Thank you to all the families who partied with us yesterday 🥳 It was a room full of joy as you all made memories together and fostered that love of playing and having fun from such a young age.

That’s a wrap on our 6 week Christmas Term. It has been all I’d hoped and more ♥️ a perfect way to finish with our beautiful Winter Wonderland class ❄️
