Do you know where one of the best places on earth to witness the Northern Lights is?

There is a tiny village called Kilpisjarvi, which is perched at the northwesternmost tip of Finland. It is so far north above the treeline that it offers wide-open, clear landscapes perfect for viewing auroras.

Located on the Official Northern Lights route, Kilpisjarvi is recognised for playing host to the dazzling natural phenomenon. And this year, as we head toward solar maximum, expect even more chances to see the magical displays!

Also, the skyline in Kilpisjarvi is dominated by Saana Fell, an iconic landmark in True Lapland.

The fascinating formation has inspired countless stories.

Did you know legend has it... long, long ago before humans were around, the surly giant Saana fell head over heels for beautiful Malla. However, his rival, the jealous giant Paltsa, wanted to stop their wedding. He implored three witches to summon icy winds that froze Saana immediately in his spot, while near him Malla flung herself in her mother's arms and cried the tears that formed Lake Kilpis.

February - Chiang Mai Flower Festival is an annual event that takes place during the first weekend in February and gives visitors the opportunity to witness flower floats, a beauty pageant, music concerts, and an abundance of food stalls. 🌸

March - The driest weather in March, meaning you could go anywhere in Thailand for bright blue skies and to enjoy the sun kissed beaches. Favourable diving conditions continue too, giving plenty of opportunity for snorkelling or scuba diving trips. 🤿

April - Thai New Year or Songkran Festival takes place on the 13th April every year, but with festivities lasting until the 15th, this event is a country-wide celebration. The main attraction is the momentous water fight, which in the country's hottest month can be a welcomeactivity. 📅

June - Enjoy the last of the dry weather before rainy season (or green season as it is commonly referred to) starts. With children returning to school, it means that beaches and top attractions are quieter, and prices are lower too. ☀️

August - If travelling to Thailand during the summer holidays is the only option for
you to travel to Thailand, then we recommend a visit to Koh Samui or Hua Hin which are less affected by the heavy rain fall. 🌦

November - Sun seekers will be happy as Thailand’s west coast comes out of its heaviest period of rainfall. Beach lovers return to Krabi, Phuket, or Khao Lak, to enjoy Thailand’s white sandy beaches and amazing sunsets. ⛱
