Carmalee and her Sister flew from Toronto and arrived in Eastbourne on Thursday. After a day in London, they joined me on a Back by Lunch tour on Saturday morning. The weather was not favourable. A great weekend for Families!
Last Friday I was delighted to take on tour Maria, together with her Dad who was visiting her from Spain. The following Day I took Kerstin on a tour with her friend and Mum who was visiting her from Germany. Neither parent spoke English but they managed to say how they enjoyed the tour and the wonderful scenery that we have on our doorstep!

It was a beautiful day on Saturday when I took Sharon and Jim, who were visiting from Australia, to see the iconic coastline of Beachy Head, Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters. The white cliffs are at their best when contrasted against the blue skies. The couple also enjoyed their trip to Alfriston and walked around buildings older than their nation! Last week I had the pleasure of giving KoreanBilly a tour of The Seven Sisters. I took him up to the barn at Seaford Head and we walked to the Coastguard cottages to see the iconic view of the Seven Sisters. We then visited Birling Gap with a walk up to Belle Tout lighthouse We then took a walk on Beachy Head to see the Eastbourne lighthouse before taking him down to the seafront. Billy is a regular on Youtube and social media and has developed a reputation for regional accents, especially scouse. Ancient and fragile, the chalk cliffs are slowly evolving and changing shape.

However enticing it is to take a photo from the edge, cliff falls happen without warning.

Admire the cliffs, but please do this well away from the edge and base.
