Tenby, St Davids and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
17th–24th May 2025

The ancient walled town of Tenby, situated on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with its picturesque harbour and narrow streets, provides the perfect base for our journey along the Pembrokeshire coast. Along the Way we spend a day on the beautiful Island of Caldey and another in St Davids, the smallest city in the UK. We’ll also walk out to the wonderfully atmospheric birthplace of St David on the coast at St Non’s.

Way of St Aidan Highlights, Ireland: May 18th-23rd

Holy wells, beachside pine forests, storytelling houses with thatched roofs and roaring log fires, panoramic mountain views, a Celtic monastery, the oldest Marian shrine in Ireland and famous Irish hospitality – St Aidan’s Way has it all.

In May we will follow in the footsteps of St Aidan, the young sixth century Irish monk, as he journeyed from Ferns in Co. Wexford to the coast at Our Lady’s Island to be with his mentor St David in Wales. This route is part of the Wexford-Pembrokeshire Pilgrim Way that recently rediscovered this ancient pilgrimage route from Ireland to Wales, connecting the Celtic cousins across the Irish Sea and re-imagining the route for 21st century pilgrims.

Pilgrims who are re-tracing their Irish roots particulary enjoy our stops at the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford and at Johnstown Castle which is the home of the Irish Agricultural Museum.

From our base on the beach at Ballyvaloo retreat centre we explore this beautiful and varied landscape, making new friends and creating experiences that will live with us forever. This journey is really not to be missed: https://www.journeying.co.uk/journeys-2025?id=949915

"While most who travel with Journeying are seeking to deepen and enrich their spiritual journey through a time away in nature and in the footsteps of the Celtic saints of old, we also warmly welcome those who are searching or starting out on theirs and hope the informal, Christian ambience around which our pilgrim journeys are built will inspire and encourage.”
