Hello from Transylvania!

We are an English couple who first came to Transylvania over 20 years ago and have lived here permanently for the last 12 years. We own and run a small holiday company, along with my sister and her husband and some amazing local friends. You can find all our excellent reviews from many of our wonderful previous guests on Trip Advisor - under 'Secret Transylvania' and 'Balea Lac Ice Hotel'. We really couldn't think of anywhere in the world where we'd rather live. Our beautiful traditional Saxon village is just a 15 minute drive from stunning Sibiu (European City of Culture 2007). Cosmopolitan Sibiu is often referred to as 'mini Prague' and 'the hidden gem in Europe's crown'. Although full of trendy bars and sophisticated pavement cafes, it exudes a relaxed and laid back atmosphere and hosts a festival each weekend throughout the summer. When enjoying the completely pedestrianised centre of cosmopolitan Sibiu, it's hard to believe that a 10 minute drive will take you to see horse drawn ploughs, hand scything and strip farming, little changed from medieval times. We have 'fully inclusive' accommodation in Cisnadioara village and self catering apartments ideally situated in Sibiu Old Town. So, from £20 per person per night, we really can cater for any budget.
