🏰Dating back to the 12th centrury, Walmgate Bar is York's most complete Bar and still comprises it's defensive barbican, portcullis and oak doors. It is the only town gate in England to survive with its barbican intact. Today it houses a cafe. Why not stop off here for a bite and then explore the walls.

🚶‍♂️The next available stop is only a few minutes walk away, meaning York Rail Station is still very much accessible.

🙏We do apologise for this and this is down to the planned works ongoing around the station.
