Rainstorm is 5!! Happy Birthday to ...

To celebrate we’re hosting a special Photowalk on August 1st at 6pm, the moment when the picture was released into the world.

Simon will be taking you to the spot where the picture was taken, and discussing the moments leading up to its capture. We’ll also be able to see the changes to the city’s skyline.

Joining me will be the excellent Emma Fox Guided Tours, who will take us around the local area, telling stories of best selling music, transport and time revolutions, potatoes, Roman soldiers, the birth of Manchester, a viaduct garden, the Garrison pub and much more.

Everyone attending will get a free A4 digital print, with a handwritten message on the back.

£20, limited places - Link in bio to book tickets:

This is a wall in Manchester against which peaceful democratic reformers were crushed by the military at Peterloo for our right to vote.
This woman was the first suffragette to die for the cause, due to injuries sustained at Black Friday and from going on hunger strike in prison and being force fed. She was Mary Clarke, Emmeline Pankhurst’s younger sister. She died for our right to vote.
Tomorrow is the UK General Election, please use your hard fought for vote!

Am so shocked and sad about . Saw him with at earlier this year, brilliantly and simply communicating about how to improve your health and wellbeing. They obviously had a deep love and respect for each other. We’ve lost one of the good guys who made a difference. These slides were what they ended the show with; some practical, achievable advice. If you haven’t listened to his ‘Just One Thing’ on then give it a go, it’s brilliant for nudging us in the right direction for living healthier and happier. Love and strength to you and your loved ones ❤️
