The Island is a fantastic place to stay, everyone enjoyed Kathryn’s hen party. The kitchens were well stocked for cooking for many people and were spotless as were the bathrooms and bedrooms which were comfortable and luxurious in their decor.
The outside was beautiful too with manicured lawns, outside games, seating and a spa.
Adele and her team were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for us and her recommendations for entertainment were spot on. We hired the mixologist from a local pub and spent a good few hours at the local water sports centre.
It was such a fantastic weekend of fun with great company. Would definitely go again.

Thank you to Adele and Lynda for such a fantastic stay! I cannot recommend The Island in Oxfordshire enough for a special weekend away. Our group of 13 thoroughly enjoyed our stay - from using the boats to get to and from the mainland to relaxing in the hot tub!
The property is very well equipped with everything you could think of needing - cooking utensils, serveware, tea, coffee (a very well stocked spice and herb rack!) indoor and outdoor games etc. All of the rooms are beautiful and come with plenty of towels and robes for your stay.
We did some watersports on the neighbouring Hardwick watersports centre lake which was only a short walk away - the whole team there were very friendly and we had a great time paddle boarding and kayaking.
There's also plenty of birdlife on the island to watch- it's such a peaceful place to stay.
Adele and Lynda are also on hand via Whatsapp/phone for any questions or support and are really great hosts from initial booking through to departure.

Oh yes! we researched hot tubs considerably, lets face it...getting a hot tub over to an island where access is only by boat isn't easy (more about how we did it on another post). We chose wisely, we went for one a good quality 2 pump system so while you've got your jets on you still have the heat pump working too.
