Glenshee Ski Centre have had some snowfall with more expected towards the end of the week.

Morning,

A93 is currently closed, however snow ploughs are currently working on it and it should be open between 9 and 9.30am, there is a covering of snow on the road surface so drive carefully when travelling.

We had around 10 cm of snow overnight so still not enough to move us off of the Plastic and D**k D**k Tows, however Friday is looking like another snow day so fingers crossed we get the same again. Weather warnings are continuing until Friday at 6pm.

In the meantime we are gonig to have to put up with a couple of very cold sunny days 😎! Forecast is for -7 for most of today and similar tomorrow, very cold overnight tonight with -10 expected at carpark level. We will be running our Plastic and D**k D**k tows, some great snow this morning and lift passes and ski hire available from the ticket office. Plenty of snow at carpark level for sledging at the moment and our cafe is open for hot food and drinks.

Moderate winds at Munro level will hopefully move some of the snow around to be caught by the snowfencing, this will bring the windchill down to -17 so remember to cover exposed skin and dress for the weather - https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gfjed570x #?date=2023-03-07

Today we're feeling really good about how much plastic waste we're saving.

In 2020, I was having a conversation with an industry colleague (and friend) about making our business more sustainably focused with responsible tourism at the heart. During the conversation he mentioned a company called Splosh who provide lovely toiletries and cleaning products which are environmentally friendly and refillable. A little research later, we introduced their refillable toiletries and cleaning products within the holiday lets we manage.

We often get comments from our guests about how nice they are, so there's no skimping on quality here! And on top of that we've saved just under 400 bottles of plastic waste in the time we've been using them. Now that's got to be something to celebrate!

Changes such as these are so easy to incorporate into our personal and business lives and go a long way to protecting the planet!

Tara & I were walking the Scotties early this morning in Perthshire & enjoying the views of the hills and forests.

I mentioned that the Big Tree country (Perthshire )could easily turn into a Fire 🔥 risk if the temperature continues to rise.

Later today we hear fires are breaking out around London due to the heat!
