Our Story

My name is Paul Smith, and I run WOT Travel, an independent UK-based, travel agency.

I offer a bespoke travel service to all clients, both leisure and corporate, for their worldwide travel needs.

The business was formed back on November 01 1983, by my late parents, Ray and Doreen Smith, as they wanted me to have a good grounding to my life. We had a high street shop presence for many years, until our then landlords got greedy and decided to triple our rent, some seven years ago. By that time, my parents had passed away and I was running the business almost single-handed. I took the decision to work from home, which I am still doing, and this works extremely well as I can be flexible with my office hours to suit both my client’s needs as well as my own.

Needless to say, I only deal with reliable suppliers that are fully bonded and licensed where relevant. There are some suppliers that I refuse to deal with, but then I also have a wealth of better ones who value the business I give them.
