Today is Panda Day! 🐼🎉 It's a day to honor one of the world's most beloved animals, the panda. Pandas are famous for their distinctive black and white markings, cuddly appearance, and playful personalities, making them a favourite among people of all ages.
Here are 6 fun facts about pandas that you may not have known:
🐼 Pandas can eat up to 40 kg of bamboo shoots per day. That's about the same as eating 250 apples in one day.
🐼 Pandas have a funny habit of sitting upright to eat. It's a position that's not very comfortable for most animals but is ideal for pandas due to their “false thumb”.
🐼 Although they look soft and fluffy, pandas actually have very thick and coarse fur, which protects them from the cold Chinese winter.
🐼 Pandas are excellent swimmers and can even use swimming as a way to avoid dangers in the wild.
🐼 Pandas are black and white for a reason - their black fur helps them absorb heat from the sun, while their white fur helps them blend in with the snow.
🐼 Pandas have a special place in Chinese culture and are often seen as a symbol of peace and harmony.
While pandas are still considered a vulnerable species, their population has increased in recent years thanks to conservation efforts. Today, there are around 1,800 pandas living in the wild, and conservation organisations are working hard to protect their habitat and ensure their continued survival.

It's International Turtle Day! 🐢🎊 So, let's slow down and shell-abrate these amazing creatures. You might even learn some cool facts about turtles that you can use to impress your friends at the next party.
Did you know that,
🐢 Turtles have been around for over 220 million years, which means they were alive at the time of the dinosaurs! Talk about a timeless classic.
🐢 Turtles are facing some tough challenges, like habitat destruction, pollution, hunting, and being sold as pets. But don't worry, there are lots of people and organizations working hard to protect them, and they're making a big difference.
🐢 There are over 300 different turtle species out there, and they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. From tiny turtles that fit in the palm of your hand, to big guys like the elephant turtle. There's a turtle for everyone to love.
🐢 Turtles might seem slow on land, but in the water, they're speedy swimmers! They can zoom through the water at speeds up to 22 mph. That's one fast reptile!
🐢 Turtles can live for over 100 years, which means they've got a lot of time to enjoy life in their shell.
🐢 Sea turtles are important members of their ecosystems. They munch on creatures like jellyfish and sea sponges, which helps keep the ocean balanced and healthy for other critters like corals and fish.
So, are you ready to see some turtles and have some shell-tastic adventures? Then come with us to Ecuador and Galapagos to meet the giant elephant turtles! It's going to be an un-shell-ievable time.

Flora and fauna around the world 🌍 Beautiful blooms can be found all over the world and many countries have their own national flower. Their colors, shapes, and even their scents are all wonderful and special parts of nature.
Meet the National Flower of South Africa: King Protea
The king protea was named the national flower of South Africa in 1976. You may not be familiar with the protea family of flowers, but it includes over 1500 species. They grow throughout the Southern hemisphere, and they come in all different shapes and sizes. Scientists believe they have been on earth for three hundred million years.
