Just back from a great week on the AMA Magna Danube river cruise vessel. Ship, crew, facilities, food and service top notch including their airport transfer service. Excellent guides at the en route stops showing us around the various castles, monastries and catherdrals. Just caught the last days of summer at the beginning of the week, then the rains central Europe experienced caught up with us. Spoilt the Bratislava visit where it teemed down and was cold with it.
Fascinating watching the Magna squeeze into the many locks as we headed down river, the ship being the widest on the Danube.
A Danube cruise is an great way of visting many cities and places in one holiday. I'd happily do another.
