Yesterday was a bizarre, funny, invigorating and very inspiring day.

The Hornsea Dolphins swimming group organised a Blue Balls Dip to raise funds for ORCHID, a men's cancer charity. It was a very well organised and well attended event, helped enormously by clear skies and, apart from one rogue wave, very calm seas. There were sea shanties, a ceilidh band and a male voice choir as well as the spectacle of seeing lots of brave souls plunging into a very cold north sea.

Hopefully the raffle, tombola, auctions, donations and sponsors raised plenty of money for this very worthwhile cause.

Well done to everyone involved, whether organising, helping out, performing or donning a silly costume and getting wet and cold to the bone 😅 Thanks also to the fire brigade and Hornsea Inshore Rescue for their attendance on the beach and on the water 👏👏

Yorkshire Made Ltd was pleased to add our support both by turning up and looking ridiculous and by donating a couple of engraved bamboo chopping boards, that have been auctioned and raised a very pleasing total.

Would we support this cause next year? That's a definite 'Yes'. Will we be regularly plunging into the north sea? That's a definite 'No'! 😂🥶

Well, that's a wrap for another year 🤗
