With less than a week to go till our season starts, we are really looking forward to seeing the beautiful Garden of England from the skies again. We have been flying in Kent for over 30 years and you never tire of the stunning views.

Ready to fly? Feel the heat and hear the roar as we take off. Our big balloon has 4 burners to get us off the ground. As we float up into the sky you will hardly notice the occasional roar of the burners - you'll be too busy marvelling at the stunning views that will make you feel like you're on top of the world!

Kent Ballooning are looking for part time ground crew to support their hot air balloon flights. Excellent opportunity for additional income & ideal for anyone wanting to get involved in something that’s fun and a little bit different!

Applicants should:
• Be able to work flexible hours - early mornings & evenings, possibly at short notice.
• You must hold a full clean driving licence with a BE category (shown alongside the pictures on the reverse of your photocard licence), trailer towing experience is even better!
• Own transport is a necessity due to the rural location of our operating base.
• Enjoy meeting people & working as part of a team.
• Enjoy the outdoors & be reasonably fit.

Job Description:
• An average session includes: meet the other ground crew, drive to launch site, assemble balloon for take off, navigate to balloon landing site, pack away balloon, mingle with passengers & serve refreshments, return to base, refuel the balloon. An average crew session is between 4 and 5 hours.
• Approximate crew meeting timings depend on the time of year, but are usually between 4pm and 6pm for an evening flight and 5am for a morning flight.
• Pay Rates - £50 per session.
• Available on a part time basis between mid April and mid October. Ballooning is weather dependant; therefore shifts are often sporadic and short notice!!!
• Full training including H&S will be given to all successful applicants.
• Position based at local office near Hythe.
