Northumbria Police targeted reckless drivers with the help of Go North East 🚌
This operation involved Officers and Special Constables from Northumbria Police's Road Policing Unit carrying out patrol activity from one of our double-decker buses.
As a result, 26 drivers were reported for a range of offences and Police Constable Andrew Clarke of Northumbria Police said:
"Using a bus for this type of operation gives us a better view point, and ultimately helped to identify those flouting the rules of the road – I’d like to thank Go North East for their support." ❤️
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Washington New Town being built! 👏
Our canny driver, Wayne Todd, sent in these pictures and said:
“Where Washington is concerned, most people will only know Wear Buses…. The MetroFM-Wear Buses pic is just iconic!
The black and white picture shows the construction of the most amazing building, GNE’s Washington Depot! The memories and friendships formed here over the years endure through time.
Nearly 70 years later, this little shed welcomes all new people as part of an amazing family. No one walks through that door alone, when you walk into this little shed, you become family.” ❤️
