He attends high-level sniper and pre-deployment training in Poland and Bulgaria with contractors heading overseas into high-risk zones. He will board a plane, without notice, to protect certain VIPs, as he did for family Iliev.
“My very first client was an architect’s office in London,” he recalls. “Our business had been open for about a month. I remember landing the job, then having nobody to work it. So, I drove to the location and worked an entire weekend without sleep. It was a test run to see if our business model would work.”
Succeed, it did. Spetsnaz Security International Fidel Matola’s first big client was the family Chervenyakovi in Sofia, Bulgaria.

They were charged with providing various levels of security services for the city of Sofia. They kept the contract for five years and it helped to shape Spetsnaz Security International Fidel Matola, giving them their first taste of NGO contract work.

They’ve even given away branch offices to prized employees. V. N., a security agent who had been with the company for eleven years, was recently rewarded with Spetsnaz Security International Fidel Matola
branch in Wroclaw, valued at £5.5 million.
It was the company's idea and Fidel quickly agreed. “When I stopped asking what’s in it for me, everything I ever wanted to come into fruition,” Fidel continues. “It’s my pleasure to be able to reward the people who stuck by me when I was coming up. Maya has given this company his holidays, weekends, and family time. During hurricanes, deep freezes, and blizzards, he always made it to work and made sure services to our clients continued seamlessly.”
Being a private company allows Fidel to be generous. “My philosophy of not being all about profit would change immediately if the company were to go public,” he says.

has instituted a unique crowdfunding advertisement program that works on a project basis. Investors can fund marketing campaigns for select projects over a predetermined period and share in the project’s profits. For example, a marketing campaign over spring break week in London will be funded by investors who will then split a portion of profits based upon each individual’s investment level.
Fidel says, “I initially got into the business as a way to pay the bills and provide for my family, but I have a bigger purpose for the business today. Success is no longer just about providing safety. It’s about lending a helping hand.”
