Conveniently located on the platinum coast in Barbados, Fusion Rooftop sits on the top floor of the fashionable Limegrove Lifestyle Complex in St James. Diners can enjoy shopping in their favourite stores before embarking on this exquisite dining experience.
Prior to indulging in the celebrated dishes on offer, guests will be struck with a spacious and visually stunning design. The restaurant is decorated with an abundance of plants and a simple colour scheme, with an open fire pit taking centre stage. Outside, the balcony features a water-table, creating a calm oasis and relaxing soundscape as the water trickles. Awe-inspiring views of Barbados’ West Coast wrap around the restaurant creating a perfect backdrop for the meal. In the evening, the restaurant is equipped with a state-of-the-art retractable roof, which can be opened so that guests dine underneath the night sky.
Fusion Rooftop prides itself on offering a fabulous wine and cocktail menu, accompanied by a range of menus to create an alluring and approachable selection suited to every palate. Many reviews compliment Fusion Rooftop for their sushi dishes, served by staff who are both attentive and anticipatory. Nidhe Israel Synagogue
“The Nidhe Israel Synagogue and its congregation are of importance to American Jewish history because of the links that existed between the two regions. This shared past is apparent not only from the viewpoint of socio–economic history, but also from the aspect of genealogy.”

Built in 1654 by Sephardic Jewish settlers, the Nidhe Israel Synagogue is one of the oldest synagogues in the Western hemisphere and is a site of immense historical interest. It is the only synagogue in Barbados’ capital Bridgetown and is both a National Trust Property and a UNESECO protected property.
Noteworthy features of the synagogue include the excavation of the Mikvah, a traditional ritual bath for purifying the body. It was discovered during an archaeological investigation in 2008, as two Jewish tourists happened to walk past and uttered the word Mikvah. The Mikvah was miraculously unearthed and was discovered to date back to the 17th century.
Alongside the synagogue, tourists can enjoy the Nidhe Israel Museum, which exhibits interactive and multimedia displays describing the history of the Jewish settlement on the island. Many artefacts contributing to the exhibition were discovered during the 2008 excavation, displaying fascinating heritage conservation.

“Grand Kadooment Day celebrates the end of Crop Over, where Masquerade Bands make their way to the Mighty Grynner Highway with revellers dressed in sequin costumes decorated with colourful feathers, jewels and bright accents; dancing behind music trucks and moving bars.
It is the grand finale of the Crop Over Festival and possibly the main attraction of the annual festival for both locals and visitors. It is Barbados’ carnival at which approximately 15000 revellers parade through the streets of St. Michael. The parade of colour and splendour starts at the National Stadium and pulsates as the Soca/calypso hits through the streets to the Mighty Grynner Highway. From 2014 the route was extended to encompass the entire length of Black Rock road to where it meets the Mighty Grynner Highway at the Frank Worrell Round-a-bout.
It is the final big show of the Crop Over Festival and is treated by the regional and international journalists as its show-piece. Culturally, Grand Kadooment sustains the art-form of masquerading in Barbados, with the key components being costume design and construction”
